It was the smallest room I have ever seen in a hotel. Bathroom you could hardly turn around in

The location was great. Walking distance to many of the eateries and coffee shops in Old Town Camarillo. The bathrooms were stocked with towels and the different toiletries one needs. They also provided coffee, and the bed was very comfortable.

That they charged my credit card $100 as a hold for incidentals, as it was explained to me. I asked what was considered incidentals, and the lady at the desk said, for example, if your kids were to come into the office and grab some candy or snacks. I replied, that wasn't going to happen because, I thought to myself, I'm traveling alone. I also was told they serve breakfast in the morning, but I wasn't able to participate because I didn't book my stay directly with them, but rather through another 3rd party, if I had booked directly for the normal rate, I would have been entitled to the breakfast. I asked what the direct rate was, and the lady said it was $110 or something like that, which was $5 more than what I had paid through the 3rd party booking agency. I thought she could have just allowed me to have breakfast as well, but she never offered it to me. She also said I could drop the keys off in the slot if the office was still closed and I wanted to check out. However, when I went to look for the drop slot for the keys, there was not one to be found as I searched the front and back of the building. I just slid it through the back door cracks onto the floor, hoping she or someone would see it when they unlocked for the day.

The location was great - I was able to walk to restaurants and stores nearby. The room was cute and comfortable. Parking was also pretty easy.

The shower was so small. It was actually really difficult to use... I wish I could have pointed the showerhead down more, because I basically had to touch the wall to be able to get the water to fall on me. I read other reviews about this and thought they were being picky, but it really was hard to shower because of the way the showerhead was set up so far into the space.
