The view from the balconies is unbeatable!! I wony lie it is a vare bones motel

Excellent location. Amazing view. Good service. 2 lights didn’t work. The electrical outlet in the bathroom didn’t work. The sliding door doesn’t seal well so you can always hear the wind. The TV is a 13-14” monitor inside a sliding glass (I looks like an inexpensive replacement to what was there originally). I don’t expect it to have extras, i would give it a higher rating if the things in the room did work. We didn’t use the pool but it looked nice.

Awesome place for vacation

The location of the hotel is great - close to the ferry and close to restaurants without being too noisy from the traffic or the crowds. We had a room with a balcony that faced the ocean and it was very private and quiet.

Great location from dining & shopping to the Caribbean Ocean waves, view & the sound of the ocean each night was appealing & soothing to me. One complaint I have is the step in the shower which does not help the water from getting onto the bathroom floor & can be dangerous when stepping out of the shower.

Beautiful place! Wish they didn’t change towels every day. Floors are very slick in the rooms so be careful in your bare feet. Front desk gals seemed a little bored with everything. Awesome location 3 blocks uphill from the ferry. Hot and cold filtered water was also a plus.

Excellent hotel, very convenient.

Location and View

This was our fourth stay at Rocamar. I consider it a "value" hotel where any deficiencies can be overlooked because the price is right! The location is amazing, most rooms look right out onto the Atlantic ocean. The staff are great and always willing to help. Every room has at least one thing that doesn't work, is broken or missing. In room 15 there is no handle on the outside of the balcony door and one overhead light comes on at night when it is switched off. Staff fixed the security hook on the balcony door when we pointed it out to the maid. We realized we needed an extra day at the hotel and staff fixed that too. They also let us change rooms after our first night when we didn't like room 20. Hotel Rocamar would be our first choice again when we return to Isla Mujeres.

The Rocamar is very nice hotel, the wifi works best in the lobby area, but if you love the sound and sight of the ocean this is the place to stay, very convenient to all things walkable, grocery store just a few yards down the road, they have a small refrigerator in the room but would be nice if they added a microwave, all in all a great place to stay on yur vacation, yes we will be back.
