Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Baton Rouge

Outside and inside appearance is not what I would expect from a Wyndham Hotel. I was truly disappointed in this hotel. While the Wyndham website clearly states that breakfast is provided, it was not. I would not have stayed here if I knew that.

Lots of roaches. Sheets not available for fold out couch when you pay for a sweet

Had change rooms smelled bad , closet was broken no place hang clothes , one door locks were broken, non smoking smelled like smoke Ask change rooms they did accommodate me this room was a lot better .

Absolutely terrible. Entire hotel smelled like marijuana. Unsafe. Exit and side doors did not lock and were not secure inside room and bathroom were not clean. Hallways and common areas were filthy. No breakfast as advertised. Disturbances in the parking lot behind hotel. Elevator broke after checkin and we were on the 3rd floor. Staff not concerned about it getting fixed. Still broken next day when we checked out. Don’t ever stay here with you family and children

I had to change rooms do to bugs and the cleanliness of the room the second room was ok but wasn't better than the first room

This was the worst hotel that I have ever stayed in. First off, the entire place has a horrible onion smell. I had to go out and purchase Air freshner. Non of the desk attendant were polite, no greeting, no smile, not inviting at all. I booked my room for two days. The TV did not work at all and there was no phone in the room. What hotel don't have phones. On the Morning after checkin, I was rudely awaken by a cleaning lady, who did not knock on the door, but just used her key to let herself in. About 20 mins after she let herself out, I was startled by the front desk attendant, who again did not knock on the door. He informed me that it was time for me to checkout. After I screamed, because there was some strange man in my room, I explainex to him that my reservation was for two days, he left. No apologies at all. Now that I am totally freaked, I decided to go take a shower and was meet by tiny german roaches in the tub. This hotel also did not has breakfast as advertised. And after seeing roaches, I am grateful. I am very disappointed in Wyndham to have such a rundown, roach infested hotel under their umbrella. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Property not as advertised, there was no free breakfast, no pool and our restroom was full of rust. The restroom tub had half of a slip mat and our sink had a real bad leak.

Roaches……..water had a terrible smell and taste…..someone washed their hair and it stunk for 24 hours……the desk had a bell to ring for service, the bell was broken and they said they keep it that way because people would ring it……no automatic doors to drag your luggage thru when entering the building……etc. etc. etc. never again. WYNDHAM should be ashamed of themselves. Also, no breakfast at this site.

We arrived to the property around 10:30pm after the LSU game. - in the parking lot there were several people sitting around smoking, trash in parking lot, and not well lit. I go inside to check in and there was no one at the desk and had to wait 10-15 minutes for someone to show up. We received our room keys and headed to the room. Once in the room the lights wouldn’t turn on, the room smelled of cigarette smoke, the sheets had what looked to be ink stains on them, the bathroom was very dated and dirty looking. The A/C was great, however we felt like the name “Wyndham” meant something, and after this stay we have serious doubts at any of the properties that are associated. Do not stay here unless you’re gonna party it up Louisiana style with that dirty south vibe. Geaux Tigers.

I checked in online the morning of my arrival. When I got there the clerk said he had changed my room and I had to check in all over again. I asked why because in the past at Wyndham hotels all I needed was the room key. We'll going through the process I was charged twice so I showed the clerk and he said one charge was to process it and the other was the actual charge, which has never happened at any hotel. At this time I was kinda irritated but kept my composer checked in and went to the room. Walking in I said to myself it's not bad until I walked into the bathroom I noticed light fixtures missing, holes in the wall, the ac was not blowing as cold as it should have been,and the water had a horrible smell. I called my friend that lives in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and ask to take a shower there because I was not going to do so in my room and only booked the room because i was attending the LSU game at it was close to the stadium at a reasonable price. Walking out I noticed several customers in the lobby demanding a refund because they found roaches, ants, the shower head broken, holes in the wall, and also talking about the water smell. They looked at me with my backpack and I also said yeah the water smells horrible so I was going shower at my friend's house. The customers said well we are not staying here and will never book at the Microtel again. Told them I have stayed at the Microtel in Houma, Louisiana and it was actually nice and clean so i don't know what is going on at this one. The other customers said well Wyndham needs corporate to come and shut this place down!
