Comfort Suites Lawton Near Fort Sill

My stay was good until it wasn’t. The toilet in my room stopped working three different times! Each time the staff was responsive until the last time it stopped working again. I had to go downstairs to use lobby bathroom twice. There was human waste in mine that wouldn’t flush. Let the young lady know at the front desk she said someone would come up, no one ever did. My room was starting to smell and just went ahead and checked out. I left my number for the Manager to call me. As of yet, I’ve heard from no one.

This was our first time staying with Comfort Suites and the expectations were a maybe a step above a Motel 6. We were very pleasantly surprised by a spacious, clean and airy room. We will add this group to our list of affordable places to stay.

We were only there for two days for my grandson's graduation. I would stay again if in the area.

I am giving it a 2 because I expect better from Comfort Inn. I have stayed here several times. This time I was a little disappointed. It seems like the quality has slipped. One set of the automatic doors were not working, no big deal for me. The only elevator was broken but I got first floor out of 4 floors. The door for the pool was locked with a sign showing the exit to the left. That door went outside. Its door handle was missing. Just a hole for it. It opened directly into the parking lot, thus not secured from non guests. Not what I'd call a safe environment. The second day the door was fixed. There was an outside door to the pool controlled by the room key. The room was clean and nice except there were holes in the curtain. Lighting was good. The medium size refrigerator had a small freeze compartment. Limited on available 120v outlets between the beds. There were several in the rest of the suite. I was able to plug in my CPAP.

Stay was decent. Elevator had problems. Staff was excellent with having to go to the closet to push the button in order for the elevator to go up. Room was good. Only problem was the tv was having problems but after an hour, it was fixed. Went to CNF, came back to the room, the AC went out. Thankfully the night staff was able to fix it quick. Some problems I normally would not have, but the staff was very excellent on making it all better with each problem.

Breakfast was really good. First time I've ever seen 2 different types of waffle batter. Breakfast host was on top of making sure everything was clean and stocked. Front desk clerk was phenomenal! Black guy with arm in a sling. He went above and beyond to make sure we had all we needed.

Housekeeping could pay a bit more attention to what needs to be refilled in the rooms. Shampoo and conditioner was real low

Good water pressure and hot water

Bathroom in room received had heavily damaged floors (sharp points in cracked tile of threshold and flooring), black mold behind the door next to the tub, fan did not work, and sink drain was heavily clogged with hair. Room floor had stains, leaning floor lamp, damaged drywall, all furniture showed extensive wear/tear, black mold on wall just above wall ac unit, stained/torn black out curtain, and a smell that even a ionize machine could not remove. To top it off, the fire alarms sounded at 12:45am and 4:45am on night one of a two night stay. No phone call, door knock, or concern from staff regarding why they went off or ensuring the safety of guests. Fire department didn’t arrive until staff called them due those of us who came down to inquire about whether it was safe. Front desk staff advised that alarms were silenced so they would no longer go off. We were advised that the issue was on the 3rd floor. When we addressed that we were on the 2nd floor and that our alarms went off, the staff was confused by this news. After a couple of inquiries regarding if it was determined what caused the alarms to sound with staff on the next business day, no information was provided. Due to booking stay with booking.com, the hotel stated they could not compensate us for any issues we encountered during our stay.

The staff was very friendly and helpful!
