Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Waller by IHG

There were bed bugs, on the bed. We had to move rooms. We were then put into #1108. There AGAIN were bed bugs on the floor ALOT of them. Previous reviews also stated this hotel has bed bugs. I had to ck out and get a refund, there were no other hotels with rooms, as this was the weekend parents dropped their kids at college. Luckily, my mom had also got a room and we were able to stay in her RM. Did not see any in RM 1111. The mgr/owner didnt seem to care and said if they were here someone brought them. Mind you, we JUST got off the plane and do not have bed bugs in my home. Shame on Hotels.com for hosting this hotel. As many have told you this hotel has bed bugs

Room had a smell, like water damage or cigarettes..

This location was good for my overnight stay. Unfortunately, the water pressure was very low. Other than that, my stay was okay.

Room was comfortable, quiet and a restful sleep. Staff was very kind.

Tub could not turn completely off (room 229), and had a slight drip from the faucet. The shower had a very fine spray and could not be adjusted. Wednesday morning breakfast = Pre-made omelets were rubbery, and packaged oatmeal would not dissolve in the hot water tap. No hard boiled eggs in the fridge where it said 'eggs'. Ran out of coffee and took over 15 minutes for a new container. (Thursday morning scrambled eggs were really good) No hot sauce and not many condiments were provided for breakfast toppings, like salsa, shredded cheese.

At check in we were greeted by a very friendly staff. Went straight to our room to drop off our bags. Hallways, and main lobby were very clean. All looked in good order. Went to the restroom in our suite and it was filthy. I was going to just let it go thinking it was old but then I found a pile of hair on the bathroom floor and that did it for me. When we left for the evening I mentioned that our bathroom might have missed getting cleaned between guests. The one gal at the office just said “oh no” while a man just replied “we will take care of it”. Not sure it was taken care of or cleaned but the pile hair was gone when we got back and some towels rearranged. Your guess is as good as mine at what got cleaned. The breakfast was ok. My kids were happy. We were in town for baseball and picked this motel based off reviews. After spending time in the room to look around: walls were filthy. Ceilings were filthy. How does that happen? Just a solid layer of filth. I wore my shoes in the room. The only thing that seemed clean was the bed sheets. Thank goodness. AC rattled all night. Room was muggy and I feel like it probably has mold. Our friends stayed here as well and they said their room was fine. So maybe just the suites need help.

Spent 3 days, the room was not made once! Had to go and request towels myself. Toilet not cleaned. Trash not removed. In all, I had a bad experience.

The property was good but the room smell moldy and wet other than that it was a pleasant stay.

I love the location because it was close to the event we were attending. Also, there were restaurants, stores and other businesses in walking distance. The breakfast was very good.

I didn’t like hearing the T.V. blaring in the next room, but it wasn’t too bad.

This was a horrible experience. I stayed here on business. We arrived that night, exhausted and the smell in the room was bad, we were so exhausted we attempted to deal with it untill the morning but even with a sheet over my head I was gagging the entire night and barely felt rested the next morning for my training. I contacted the front desk about the unbearable stench in the room and she assured me she would move us to another room later that afternoon. After training I checked back and was moved to a cleaner room, she even let me walk in to it to see if it was acceptable and sure enough there were no foul scents. I was ready for a well-rested night in our new room and everything was great until I was rudely awakened at 4:00 a.m. by someone drilling into what sounded like the walls or flooring. Needless to say, I did not get one night of rest in this place. The smell of cigarettes, rotten food and sewer in the first room was completely unbearable and having maintenance work in other rooms in the wee hours of the morning as guests are sleeping is absurd. The young lady at the front desk was a sweetheart, and that's the best thing about this place. She was very helpful. Unfortunately,when I come back on business I will not be staying here again.
