Drifter Byron Bay

Pretty hostel with big beds and curtains that provide a lot of privacy! And such a nice pool area!

The kitchen was really dirty and disgusting. Staff tried to clean often but it was generally just messy and dirty in the fridges, the work station, the cutlery in the cupboards. Its a pity as otherwise a really nice hostel!

Extra Gebühr für Handtücher (8 AUD pro Handtuch), Extra Gebühr für Waschmittel, teilweise laut aufgrund der Bars und Pubs drum herum, Sauberkeit bzw. das gänzliche Fehlen von Sauberkeit in Badezimmern (das Personal putzt auch nicht richtig, ganz starker Negativpunkt, also lieber Adiletten an! ;))

Always beautiful Byron Bay. Communication is very important. Drifter answered all my questions and sending warm welcoming messages from the start. Digital keys. Clean and comfortable bed. Positive, professional and progressive staff. Location is the key. It's central to everything. I was upgraded to a private room with my own private bathroom. Merci beaucoup Scott.

The noise. Some people when closing their doors are very loud, this is throughout the hotel. It's very disturbing. Some guests are very noisy when walking in the hallways in the middle of the night. It's hard to get a peaceful sleep. It's Easter Holidays as well. Moving on just a suggestion-Drifter could put a sign to read at the foyer for the guest regarding Codes of Conduct as a guest. To act lawfully, with respect and responsibilities and abide the obligations to fellow guests.

The location

How it’s miss sold as a hotel and not a hostel! Very young and not what we expected as in our 40’s and wouldn’t look to stay somewhere like this.

Drifter has a great location — you can walk or bike everywhere, and the beach is only two blocks away. It’s surrounded by many restaurants, bars, and shops, which makes it very convenient and enjoyable to stay there. They also have a tour information stand, which made everything much easier for me when planning my days in Byron Bay and deciding which places to visit. In fact, I ended up extending my stay for one more night because I really liked the experience. Everything feels very modern, tech and cool. I stayed in a shared room with two other people and a private bathroom, and it was perfect. I really liked that the beds have curtains, giving you privacy, your own light, and a place to charge your devices. Overall, a very good place to stay in Byron Bay. I would definitely recommend it. 🌊

Everything was great, just it will be great if you have something to hang wet clothes in the balcony.

Lage super, Hostel sehr modern gestaltet, morgens hatte ich oft den Pool (fast) für mich

Sauberkeit ausbaufähig, habe noch in keinem Hostel so verschmutzte Toiletten vorgefunden, das liegt aber nicht nur am Putzen sondern zum Teil auch an den Gästen, es wird regelmäßig geputzt, allerdings nicht immer gründlich, Toilettenbürsten sollten dringend ausgetauscht werden, insgesamt sehr junges Publikum, ich fand den Vibe nicht sonderlich willkommenheißend, habe ich in anderen Hostels mit ähnlichem Publikum anders erlebt für vieles wurde Aufpreis verlangt, zB auch für die Locker
