It was clean and smelled clean. The A/C was cool all night long. My wife and I enjoyed our stay and the area where we could find good eats.

I didn’t like the shower head and the lousy stream and pressure of the water. It was as miserable as every other hotel shower.

Breakfast was awesome, hotel was quiet and in a good location.

The hallway on Floor 2 had a dirty smell. Our room also had a dirty smell to it. We saw a roach in the corner on the wall that I killed (no other bugs observed). The AC unit did not cool the room off even when we lowered the temp to 65. The beds were low to the ground and did not have any support. The water pressure in the bathtub was low.

From check-in to check-out, the staff was incredibly professional and welcoming – they truly made us feel right at home. The rooms were clean, modern, and spacious, with all the amenities you’d expect from Marriott. The complimentary breakfast was a standout: fresh, varied, and delicious. The cut of narrow selection? Wait, I think you mean the curated, not-too-overwhelming options – it was perfect for a quick, satisfying start to the day. Highlights included fluffy eggs, crispy bacon, fresh fruit, and strong coffee. The only minor drawback was the hot tub in the pool area, which was more lukewarm than steamy. It wasn’t a deal-breaker for our stay, but it did leave us hoping for a quick maintenance fix. Overall, this is a solid choice for a comfortable, hassle-free trip to McAllen – I’d return and recommend it to friends! Rating: 4.5/5
