l'hotel è davvero bellissimo dal punto di vista architettonico visto che un tempo è stata residenza estiva di un marajaia è situato su un lago e immerso in un infinito parco pieno di scoiattoli pappagalli e pavoni. la camera è gigantesca ma è invasa da un odore davvero cattivo .tutto è allestito in stile vittoriano regina elisabetta e mette davvero angoscia. non c'è nulla nelle vicinanze cosi' si può cenare solo nel ristorante che è davvero pessimo sia per la cena che per colazione. è stata la notte più infernale della nostra vita e a trent'anni abbiamo avuto paura del buio. lontanissimo da bikaner veramente sconsigliato

questo hotel è una perla. situato un pò fuori bikaner è davvero un posto magnifico che vale la pena provare. al momento dell'arrivo si viene accolti da collane di fiori, panni profumati e bevande rinfrescanti. il parco è maestoso e la terrazza con vista sul lago è davvero magnifica. tutte le camere sono ben tenute e molto ampie. l'atmosfera è proprio quella di un palazzo del maharajah. forse la cucina del ristorante è un pò cara per la qualità che offre, ma il soggiorno merita davvero.

The main selling point of this hotel is the wonderful building, setting and 6,000 acre nature reserve attached to it. However, the presence of so many birds also means that there is a lot of bird mess around which makes it difficult to keep really clean. The staff do a good job but I felt the terrace in particular could be made more inviting with more attention to detail and more cleaning of the tables, umbrellas, chairs etc. The rooms are very comfortable and well-equipped, with a good level of service.

the hotel and the setting are amazingly beautiful, full of atmosphere and elegance, the fact that the place it's a little delabré since the times it was the Maharaja hunting lodge adds to its charm and I would recommend a visit before it will be turned into another 5 star luxury resort without soul. All the staff was excellent, the massage very good, a no frills experience but with a very competent masseur. The restaurant beautiful and the food good. Lovely place for nature lovers, even in dry season the lake is full of water and wildlife. I would recommend staying for more than a day. Bikaner is only 30km away

Originally a hunting lodge (more of a palace actually) for the royalty, Gajner Palace is a lovely property with old royal charm. Perfect for relaxing away from the main city (Bikaner) whether for business or leisure. You can stay late at night around one of many bonfires and wake up to the chirping of birds. The open jeep safari is a must do - the whole experience is awesome and if you are lucky you may spot Siberian cranes. For a family outing, there is an ante room with a single bed that not only accommdates an additional person but also adds character to the room. The food and hospitality is synonymous with what we have come to know as all things 'Rajasthani'. Their speciality is Dal, Bati Choorma and it was the best we have ever had. It takes 5 hours to prepare so make sure you place your orders the night before. And a word of caution - it is yummy alright but is quite heavy so one serve can easliy feed two to three. In the nutshell, a serene place to have a relaxing break...make sure you have own transport as it is 30Kms from Bikaner city and in local terms a bit isolated. We visited in winter and it was perfect weather but would be reluctant in the summer heat.

The experience was very pleasant. However at the end, there was a mishap where we did not receive our wakeup call as we had asked and hence we were late in meeting with our driver to get to the next place. All else was most comfortable.

Ein sehr schönes Heritage Hotel mit einem klassischen Charme.

Quelle ne fut pas notre surprise en y arrivant en soirée. L'éclairage lui donnait un air encore plus impressionnant. Notre chambre historique était magnifique, spacieuse, vue sur le lac, grande salle de bains. Petites attentions apportées par l'hôtelier (collier de fleurs, chocolats,..). Magnifique restaurant au bord du lac mais malheureusement (ou heureusement pour nous) quasi pas de touristes pour l'établissement. Petit bémol: problème de connexion pour paiement lors du check out avec Visa. Mais pour le reste: un vrai paradis!

Wonderful old English colonial style hotel. Elegant building with beautifully appointed rooms. We stayed in the Historic Suite which overlooked the lake. Cocktails were served in the courtyard with a wonderful show put on by local musicians. Dinner was fantastic. Would recommend the Gajner Palace highly.
