Petite Provence B&B

The rooms are well furnished and comfortable and clean. Easy walk to Salt Rock main beach and some eateries. Friendly staff.

The breakfasts were disappointing. Lacked anything interesting and (for example) the granola / muesli was bog standard and seemed cheap. Strange to have to pay for a cup of Nespresso (that you make yourself) in a 5 star facility. Our rooms were also not quite ready by 2pm on date of booking in. Power kept going out the first three days / nights (on the premises only). To exit the parking facility is not for the faint hearted (gate 3).

The place is very close to the beach making it easy to walk there (if you want to) and other interesting places around. The staff was really friendly and helpful. It was raining when we arrived and they came to get us with umbrellas, very considerate. The breakfast spot is so gorgeous gives an international feel. The garden and pool were also nice. We enjoyed chilling and swimming there.

We struggled with parking, it was not enough for everyone booked there. Not a lot of breakfast options and the coffee they had was also not great. They have Nespresso but it’s charged extra.

Everything was outstanding from the beautifully furnished rooms to the excellent breakfasts.

No hourly guest service.

Location was superb. The owners were very nice. Very private. The kitchen equipment is better than expected. The cleaning staff do and excellent job and the ash from the fire pit / Braai area is cleaned up swiftly in the mornings. The service is good, and goods from the store (firewood etc) is promptly delivered with a smile. The unit is clean and the beds were super comfy.

Whilst the property is indeed a cabin that is tented style, regrettably it falls short of what one expects with “glamping”, most notably no aircon in a really hot environment. Whilst the pool appeared to have solar heating, that was not working and we had to heat it manually by continuously loading wood into a “donkey boiler”
