The Classic Hotel Nicosia - Handwritten Collection

The rooms are OK, but not spacious. The staff were friendly and obliging. It was no problem when I asked for more coffee, although after the complimentary bottle of water it's 4 euro per bottle.

I had asked for a bathtub, but I wasn't aware that they don't seem to have them at all in the hotel. I was in an inside facing room - I could see a wall and people's washing. Ask for an outside facing room!

Staff is the real gem of the place. The location was good too.

The cockroaches in the place are NOT ok

Nice design in renovated areas, but it is a little bit tricky for a person with a reasonable height to circle some corridors with low ceilings. Breakfast was nice; the room overlooking the road is noisy if you prefer to sleep in a fresh air

The room was prepared only for one person (slippers, robes, kits). The gym was not tidy, and there was a lot of weight on the floor. The only thing related to the spa is a sauna. The overall part of the city did not look safe at night.

As a tourist the location was excellent. You could walk to the museums, restaurants and the main crossing point to the North. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was fine. Parking was almost across the road in a public lot.

If you are looking for a hotel that is very noisy from the road this is the spot for you. There is no soundproofing. There are stairs everywhere, which you must use with poor elevator access. The room has very few outlets for plugs. There are none in the bathroom. I had to use the plug in the bar for the hairdryer. If I used any other I would have had to lie on the floor and dry my hair. There is nowhere in the bathroom to lay out toiletries or makeup. The tv always came on in French and we never did figure out how to change it. Where the long mirror is in the room and a plastic plant should be a short mirror with the desk moved there. That might help. There is already a long mirror in the closet. Poor storage for 2 people for 3 nights.

Breakfast

Staff at the reception do not reply or bother to send an invoice. I have been chasing them for 2 months now, I gave them the information in person, via telephone and messages, and yet I havent got anything. The should take some simple customers request more formally

Location is excellent and the hotel is lovely and modern with good staff
