Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Clemson - University Area by IHG

Check in was easy - staff was great. The room smells terribly (musty/moldy smell), overflowing dumpster in the parking lot, hallway floor is dirty.

The property is under going a much needed renovation. Very old and dated

Newly renovated nice stay we booked two rooms no issues. Room are modern and clean we will stay here again

No AC in the lobby or the hallways for the entire stay (in August). One elevator for the whole property which was not available the majority of the time. Bathrooms were not well maintained.

The dest clerks was very professional and very nice..

Everything was wonderful, didn't like that I had to leave ...

My two stars are due to the fact that this hotel was able to accommodate us last minute with a room and also because the breakfast was decent. The woman working as the breakfast attendant was on point with keeping everything tidy and well stocked, so props to her! Other than that, our room was pretty gross. Not only was there what looked like a dead animal in our shower drain, our surface areas looked as though they had not been wiped down, and the room was really musty and had a strong odor. I left the next morning congested and with a sore throat from breathing in whatever was circulating through the air all night. I didn't stop to make a complaint on the way out because we were trying to make an appointment. I would not stay here again.

Excellent location with neat premises and friendly staff.

Excellent customer service and nice room. However, very disappointed in the preomold in the bathroom and there was hair on shower wall. As the bathroom was not cleaned to its entirety.
