Mountain Heritage Hotel

Fantastic heritage character of the whole building with amazing views over Katoomba and the blue mountains. Lovely staff with Alan playing the piano in the evening

No lifts if you have heavy luggage. Great location for town but be aware this is a hilly region. Uber and taxis are frequent and cheap

A lovely hotel with olde charm and great views from public areas. Lovely to walk through the various open spaces, enjoy the old photos and decor. We made use of the bar for both drinks and dinner. Great atmosphere. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Our rooms did not have views but regardless, these large rooms with high ceilings and comfortable beds. Tea, coffee and mini fridge were in the room (stored in cupboard) but we did not use these. Great respite after tiring day out.

Unfortunately, as much as the room was large, spacious and lovely, the state of the bathroom was disappointing. Though generally cleaned, the mould, thick dirt around the tap, and very worn condition of wood cupboards were disappointing. Expected better for the hotel's reputation.

My room was absolutely amazing with great views and beautiful gardens the staff were all so kind and very helpful and I definitely recommend the buffet breakfast was absolutely delicious

Fabulous views from our room, which was also spacious. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Close to transport links (walkable to station and bus stop).

Some decor slightly faded.

The rooms were a very good size and the bed comfortable. Ample hot water and toiletries. Staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful.

The bar area was not very welcoming / comfortable but it was very quiet when I was there. Restaurant wasn’t open for this reason.
