The Brafferton Inn

It was the perfect location with friendly and helpful owners and a lovely and comfortable place to stay.

The property is located very near the center of town. We parked a short walk away in their private lot so we didn’t have to worry about metered parking. Our room, the ‘Eisenhower’ room, was an attic room, so we were happy that the air conditioning kept the room nice and comfortable. The room was rather large. We didn’t use it, but the room was equipped with a gas fireplace.

Our room was a few doors down from the main Inn and the stay felt more like a short term rental than a stay at a historic property. Facing the street, it was noisy from car and truck traffic during the daytime but thankfully quiet at night. The room was a tad dated ( the pillows were hard hard) but clean and large. There were many rooms associated with the Inn. Unfortunately, ours was above a store a few doors down from the main Inn which we had to exit from the outside to get to breakfast. We wish we had communicated prior to booking as the experience of our stay felt more like we were in a short term rental than in a historic inn.

The owners, Amy and Brian greeted us when we arrived and gave us a tour of the property and made sure we understood the door locks and breakfast time. We were spoiled with a delicious hot breakfast every morning; Chef Brian really knows his stuff! Amy helped us upstairs with our baggage, and gave us recommendations for lunch while we were in Gettysburg.

Friendly, clean, great location, great bed! What else is there to say? They also had storage for bikes. Amy and Brian made us feel extremely welcome. I would stay there again in a minute.

The suite we stayed in was very nice. It was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The owners were very nice helpful. The inn is walkable to all the major shops and attractions in town. The included breakfast was excellent. Our only complaint was noise from the busy street (it was Bike Week), but this was no fault of the inn.

This was our second stay. Highly recommended. The breakfast is amazing. The service is excellent. The owners are friendly and responsive. The location is excellent and walking distance from numerous areas with many restaurants nearby. We plan future visits for sure.

Excellent B & B in centre of Gettysburg. Brian & Amybeth were super hosts & the breakfast, cooked to order, was delicious. We had the Catherine room which consisted of a separate entrance, a bedroom, lounge with tv & bathroom. Would definitely recommend.
