SCP Mendocino Inn and Farm

Great comfortable room with a great bed.

Nothing to note at this time.

Our king suite was very spacious and tastefully updated. Comfortable bed, nice bath products. Location is great! Unaware there was no T.V., but it was a plus in my opinion.

Our ROOM was freezing the first day we were there. Had to have a fire going constantly. 2nd day heater decided to work. Second day breakfast wasn't good. Bland frittata, dry muffins. Advertised an evening wine offering, but they no longer offer it. I did expect more from a $600/nt. property.

being on the first floor was a drag ,the couple above us was very loud and no respect getting up by 6 30 and walking,very loud .two days in a row, bummer . thank you for understanding .

Lovely inn off Hwy 1 before the town of Mendocino. Diane was a delight at the front desk. They have several buildings but it was easy to navigate. Our room was in the Farmhouse called the Garrett room was the original attic space and the views were so so great. The bed was cozy and comfortable and it was spotless. The bathroom was very cozy but just fine despite the giant picture window that looked out into the highway. Thankful for a big shade. Overall it was very quiet despite the traffic on the 1.. On site restaurant was just wonderful for dinner. Our server was a joy and the pizza we shared was one of the best I’ve had. That crust was so good! The breakfast delivered the next morning was small but delicious. I LOVED the alpacas (llamas?) and seeing them out our windows. I also loved the chickens that you could feed. They ran towards when you passed by hoping for some feed. So cute. Diane also directed us to a couple of great walking trails, one leading down to a small little beach.

My two negatives out of SO many positives were the hella steep stairs to get to our room. Obviously they can’t change that and the view was worth it but goodness. They were treacherous. Also that attic space gets very stuffy. We opened the windows to let in a breeze although the road noise was a bit loud. No AC which is understandable and thank goodness we found a fan in the closet. That was a lifesaver. The windows have no screens so we had quite a few flys to deal with when we came back from dinner. Once the windows were closed and the fan was on it was very comfortable and we couldn’t hear the road noise.
