"Nice Stay but a few issues"

We stayed one night for a wedding in the area. The front desk attendant was pleasant and check-in was quick and easy. We booked a 1-bedroom king suite, which was clean and comfortable overall, though a few issues stood out. The living room TV didnโ€™t work, but we didnโ€™t have time to address it and didnโ€™t consider it a major inconvenience. The kitchen stove had a sign stating โ€œno cooking, reheating only,โ€ which seemed unusual, but we didnโ€™t end up using it. The surrounding area felt safe but was a bit rundown. Our room faced an abandoned hotel, which gave off a creepy vibeโ€”not the hotelโ€™s fault, but not exactly appealing either. The outdoor common area wasnโ€™t well maintained. At first glance, I thought it was closed, but then I noticed kids in the pool, which was filled with leaves. We chose not to use it due to the condition. Breakfast was standard Staybridge fareโ€”nothing special, but it was well-stocked and clean. The indoor common areas were also well maintained. Overall, the staff was friendly, the bed was comfortable, and the room served its purpose for a short stay, though Iโ€™d hesitate to stay longer unless some of the maintenance issues were addressed.

"Why did you change..."

I actually LOVE this hotel. My first stay was in 2024 for one night. The front desk staff was very friendly and the room was super clean. If I'm correct, I believe it was renovated. We decided to book it again. Augh!!! MAJOR disappointment. We stayed in room 218 and it was filthy!!! The bathroom was not clean and it's obvious that housekeeping only comes to change the sheets, if that. We always come with a large group and we spoke highly of this hotel. We will have to retract our comments. On a positive side, the bed and pillows are super comfortable!!!
