Spark by Hilton Lancaster Dutch Country

I came to Lancaster for an event at the convention center. It was not too far. The hotel was very clean, updated, had plenty of parking, friendly staff, and the suite was very spacious and comfortable.

Other than 1 TV not working in the living area of the suite, no issues!

We had 2 adjoining rooms for my husband & I, and our teenage children. Before we went out for the evening, the kids entered our room through the adjoining doors, which we left open. When we returned, the exterior door to kids room was deadbolted & the interior adjoining doors were closed on the kids side. Both doors to our kids room were closed & deadbolted from the inside. The front desk clerk got a maintenance worker (who was asleep in the room across the hall from us) to mechanically disengage the deadbolt & open the exterior door from the hallway. We felt very unsafe - it seemed someone had been in our rooms to have closed & deadbolted both doors from the inside. We checked out & drove home at midnight instead of staying in those rooms.

Clean, bed/pillows very comfortable, professional staff, nice lobby, breakfast was fresh, great location.

We enjoyed the breakfast. It was a nice variety. Staff were friendly.

Children in the hotel could have been quieter after 9 pm.

The only inconvenience is that the rooms do not have a microwave, but everything else was excellent, the cleanliness, the location and the staff

The breakfast could have been a lot better. Not a lot of options. One night I needed more towels or something and couldn’t find the employee for an hour or so. Which was very frustrating because I wanted to go to bed early that night.
