Holiday Inn Express & Suites Corpus Christi by IHG

For a holiday inn I was a bit disappointed because I’m 4 days my room did not get done.

Room was clean

Elevator scared me with strange noises, washing machine on our floor did not work, and had to wait 20 minutes for someone to come to the front desk for check in.

This hotel was disappointing. The biggest issue was at checkin when the not friendly clerk refused to accept my Apple Mastercard for the incidentals deposit. He said they have trouble getting payment from Apple cards! Not only does this violate Mastercard vendor agreements it was not mentioned anywhere when the reservation was made. I asked him what if this was my only card? He shrugged his shoulders as if to say he didn't know and didn't care. Next, the place was not very clean. There was dark mold growing along the base of the shower. There was a belly up dead roach on the floor at the breakfast area. The breakfast choices were skimpy compared to other Holiday Inn Express locations. No yogurt in the mini fridge and the milds in there were not very cold. The hallways were hot, stuffy, and uninviting. The AC was noisy. All in all, I will avoid this location if I travel to Corpus Christi again unless they fix these issues 

Our room had a pullout couch which was super helpful for our fourth person. Staff was fast to give extra towels and linens upon request

The pool had no pump circulating water, the hot tub heater didn’t work. The worker changed the trash bags and food with the same gloves on.
