70 Tory Apartment

Location was great close to where i needed to be some good restaurants around.... shower was amazing

Can be noisy at night with people outside making alot of noise.

The location was great. There were plenty of food options directly below the apartment, with KFC across the road, and everything was within easy walking distance. The waterfront was also close by, making it a convenient spot to get around on foot. It was also nice to have available, so we could relax in the evenings and watch something after being out during the day. The bed was comfortable also and nice to have a balcony off the bedroom and lounge area to let fresh air in.

We stayed here for three nights. Overall, the place looked clean at first glance, but there were some pretty basic issues that shouldn’t have been missed. The kitchen drawers, especially where the knives and forks were, had food in them and clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly. The bathroom also wasn’t done properly, there was visible dust and dirt especially behind the door and around the washing machine area, and there was mould around the sink and bathtub, which was pretty off-putting. On top of that, the shower leaked badly  even with the glass door closed, water spread across the half of the bathroom floor and across the toilet, leaving it wet and slippery every time we got out. The biggest letdowns by far were the parking and the towel situation. Parking was a complete headache from the start. We were under the impression it was included, but it wasn’t, and there were no clear instructions on where to go. We initially parked out front to try and figure out how to access the apartment and which parking area to use, as there were two options. While doing that, we ended up getting a $70 parking fine. In the end, we just took a guess and parked in the Tory carport garage, but even then we had no idea what level to park on, how to access the building from inside the carpark, or how payment worked. We spent about two hours walking around trying to figure it out ourselves, which was frustrating after arriving with luggage. The towel situation was unacceptable. We were only given one towel each for a three-night stay, plus two flannels, which isn’t enough. We requested more on Friday night and were told we’d need to pay a $30 housekeeping fee for two additional towels, and to check cupboards (which we had already done). Because there were only two towels provided to begin with, the fee was eventually waived, but we still didn’t receive the extra towels until Saturday afternoon. Poor communication and slow response made it even more frustrating.

Good location

We were unsure where to park and had to call for assistance but the hotel had no parking available. The gym and pool were closed. We only got two towels for two nights stay and had to call and ask for more. These things weren't a huge deal, but would have made our stay a 10/10.

Location good. We have stayed before

There was no one in reception. We couldn't check in. It took 2 hours talking to a person on the phone to eventually get into a room. She couldn't give a code to let us into reception.the only way we could get in was to wait until someone else entered and follow them. It was very poor
