Misibis Bay

The rooms are very clean, comfy, spacious and definitely a place to relax.

I booked 2 rooms, 1 pool/garden view and 1 seaview. I was told by Melanie that they will be on the same floor. I arrive 2 hours early upon normal check in hours. Melanie helped me during check in and informed me if our rooms will be ready then. I do not have a local number but told her that I will be in the lobby area which is visible for her to see if I am there or not. She did tell us we can use the facilities but since our luggage is still in our car, we didn't have our swimsuit. We decided to check out Spice Market and had halo halo.. After, we strolled along the beach and we came back 30 minutes to the lobby. 10 minutes before 2pm, I approached Melanie and she said it is not ready. A few families areived to check in and I figured that it's past 2pm, maybe my room will be ready and so I lined up. I stood on the line for 10 minutes, saw Melanie went to the back office and never returned. I approached a gentleman, sorry didn't get his name but he is the person that handled me on my checking out, and asked if my room is ready. He said we are still not ready. I'm like why? He said they housekeeping is running late..Ok. Understood. But why didn't Melanie told me that 10 minutes before 2pm when I approached her. This is what made me disappointed, or unhappy about this check in process. If she just told me.about it earlier I would have been more patient. But no, she didn't. I wasnt expecting this type of service considering this is a 5 star hotel. We end up having 1 of the rooms on the 3rd floor which is supposed to be for my parents' but since both are not up to speed on their mobility, I gave the seaview room to my cousin. Please make sure this does not happen to anyone. The front staff need sto have better communication with theri customers especially if they are waiting in the lobby.

It was the best place to stay in Bicol region close to daraga albay and the service of the whole resort was excellent. The restaurant vibes was just right and service was great the whole time we were there. It had variety of food every day and the buffet set was amazing.

I like the infrastructure of the rooms and resort, it’s modern and stylish and has a luxury feel. The food is authentic to the local region. Great entertainment choices on their tvs in the room.

The resort felt like a ghost town as we were 1 of 3 guests staying at the resort at the time. The atmosphere was lonely and we were the only guests most of the time in the restaurant, the beach or wherever we went in the resort. The beach isn’t amazing and I felt scammed for my money for staying at this place. It was a waste of time. We will definitely not be returning. The reception staff have good English however, the rest of the staff onsite barely speak English so it’s difficult communicating my requests. We specifically asked for no cleaning when we dialled ‘0’ for reception. When we returned to our room in the evening, we found that the room had been cleaned. On the first night of arriving we found worms in the room which was another creepy element to this place. We went for a massage and again the language barrier was an issue as it was a struggle communicating with the staff. The lady had an attitude and didn’t walk us through all the massage options but only told us 2 options when we saw on their brochure that there were many options. Construction workers were everywhere as well during our stay, which I found uncomfortable as they stared at me like i’m a piece of meat. I didn’t feel comfortable walking around in holiday wear. I did not get the luxury 5 star resort feel at this place. The pavements were full of cracks too which isn’t a ‘luxury’ feel.

Misibis Bay has improved so much based on previous years customer reviews I read. The staff services , cleanliness and the refreshing smell of the Villa room and all its linens and robes are very soothing . The quiet serene place is pure relaxation. I truly appreciate ALL the staff communication, excellent service in catering to my family private dinner by the beach in celebration of my 50th birthday . All 17 of my family were served with delicious 5 course gourmet plated dinner in a very timely manner , well decorated long table and well mannered staff . I love the huge bonfire wood set up that they surprised me . There are so much excellent things and meaningful experiences we had and would like to share to others so they too would experience the same . I wish to go back to this lovely place and be pampered again . We love you Misibis Bay staff . We are so grateful for the wonderful time and experiences you made us feel so special. It is embedded forever in our memories.

Celebrated with my family here. It was great. The suite was beautiful, pool clean, sea was awesome- we learned to paddleboard and kayak so it was fun!

The only thing issue I had though was the slow internet and the several power outages - good thing it has a backup generator but it can be annoying coz we experience power outage 8 times during our stay. It’s quite pricey also coz a 2 day stay is equal to a 4 day stay at a 5star hotel in Bali
