La Quinta by Wyndham Tucumcari

For Tucumcari it's a 5 star hotel and would recommend it since it's one of the cleaner locations. It was a bit noisy since there were a lot of guests with pets currently staying there and when we entered the room there was a sticky toy stuck to the ceiling.

Breakfast was good and the Dog area was very clean. So nice that this was available.

While there was a small area for the dog and it was VERY clean which we appreciated. It would be nice to have a larger fenced area for the dog after a long car ride to exercise or even a walking path. .

Great for an overnight stay while driving to your destination. Safe, quiet, friendly staff.

Friendly staff, convenient off the highway.

This property is undergoing refurbishment right now big time. They started by refurbishing guest rooms on the second floor & assigning arriving guests to these "new" rooms, which are very nice. So, despite the many other disruptive elements of the construction, the property management is succeeding with guests by offering very nice accommodations, special low prices, and all quiet at night. The young lady who registered us, however, left both her smile & connections with the hospitality business behind, so arriving guests must provide a necessary sense of good humor. Overall, well done & recommended despite the construction.

Was really looking forward to the hot tub after a 30 hour drive... but "out of order". Not pleased!

This is a nice place to stay

The hot tub was not working, they had no information for guests like food or times for pool, and no ice machine on first floor. We also kept finding bugs everywhere, thankfully not in our bed.

Terrible experience! We drove 10.5 hours, got there at 11:30pm and when we got there we asked to have a late check out which the front desk guy said would give us to 1pm. Which we were happy with because we needed it. Well come 8:23am we have housekeeping outside our door really loud talking and laughing waking us up. Dude have more common sense, work quietly. If you need to talk then whisper! That was very rude and unprofessional! Then we were able to fall asleep again. Well now it’s 9:40am and housekeeping knocks on our door again! What the heck! Normal check out is not until 11am anyways so why are you knocking on our door early?! Fall back asleep, well guess what. 11am knocking on our door again! I called front desk and told them to tell their housekeeping to leave us alone and that we have late check out at 1pm. Well apparently the guy from the night before never put a note on our reservation! So I can’t fault them for the 11am knock, but waking us up the first two times is unacceptable. Staff needs a lot more training! Just terrible experience.
