Colina del Paraíso

Fantastisk familie sted. Stedet kræver, efter min overbevisning, en bil. God restaurant på stedet! Kan ligeledes være det perfektevsted for en golftur - bemærk dog, at der ikke er golfbane på stedet. Alle lejligheder er store og velindrettet!

Supert sted for familieferie. Bassengområdet var noe trangt, og bassengene små. Knapt med solsenger. Ryddig og rent. Meget god standard på leiligheten. Godt med parkeringsplass. Flott anlegg med mini-fotballbane, og flere tennisbaner (utstyr er å få leid). WIFI noe tregt, men ok.

Townhouse was nice, downstairs there's a sitting room with flat screen tv with good selection of uk channels such as bbc, utv, channel 4 etc, dining area and terrace, kitchen was equipped with good quality appliances (have to close the kitchen door to open dishwasher though) and a downstairs loo. Upstairs the master bedroom has a comfortable good sized bed, decent storage space and nice bathroom with jacuzzi bath, theres also a small terrace through patio doors. The other two bedrooms were twins and definitely a bit on the small size, fine if smaller children are using them but cramped with teenagers. Roof terrace is well equipped with 6 sunloungers, table and chairs and a lovely jacuzzi, we found the water temperature a bit too hot and someone came straight over to lower it for us. We found the staff pleasant and any queries were dealt with promptly and efficiently. Surrounding scenery is lovely and the golf course looks well maintained, there are tennis and padel courts but the driving range has been replaced with a basketball court. Having read other reviews we knew a car was a must and it most definitely is as the area is hilly and in a more residential setting. All in all a pleasant place to stay.

The only drawback with this hotel is that it is far from the closest town/supermarket. That is - you need a car. You can rent bicycles at a fairly high price, but the hills to go to Colina del Paraiso are steep. The apartment we had was in perfect condition (looked as if it had never been used). Even got English television! The English breakfast offered at the restaurant was not good, but the view was really nice!

Prima rustige locatie, met 3 slaapkamers elk met eigen badkamer met vloerverwarming. Alles erop en eraan. Inclusief handdoeken. Elke week gewisseld, inclusief schoonmaak. Op het dakterras een Jacuzzi, en ligstoelen voor 6 personen. Zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel.

Bodde i "town house": Første etasje: godt utstyrt kjøkken med oppvaskmaskin + rom med vask/tørkemaskin. Toalett. Romslig stue med spiseplass, salong, peis, TV og en stor veranda. Andre etasje: tre soverom og tre bad, veranda utenfor hovedsoverommet. Tredje etasje: en fantastisk takterasse med utsikt til Afrika! Seks solsenger, bord og stoler, kjøleskap og jacuzzi som holdt 35 grader!! Store uteområder med svømmebasseng, tennisbaner m.m. Respsjon i eget hus med restaurant/bar. God mat! Fem minutter med bil til nærmeste matbutikk (Mercadena ved hovedveien). Det er nødvendig med egen bil.

We just had the best 8 days at Colina del Paraiso! We stayed there 5 years ago and I can say the Town Houses have not changed and are as bright and clean as they were when it first opened! The new club house is great and the food and service is second to none! Sebastian could not do enough for us! The grounds have matured and are maintained every day! We now have a newly surfaced road up to the development! Would certainly recommend this place to anyone! There is no fault to the place and as a hotelier myself can guarantee that! We will certainly go back and we think sooner than later! Well, done to all the staff!!!

Weak directions to the location

We visited in 2011 and the place was fine. Again no problems but several tiles missing on pools should be replaced.

It's not the easiest place to find (easiest route is to take the turn-off for Cancelada, about 5mins after Puerto Banus, and work back. It's about an hour from Malaga airport). You'll need a car to get around, but Colina Del Paraiso is a fantastic place to get away from it all. I recommend a townhouse or penthouse apartment, but even the normal apartments are huge and superbly equipped. Any issues (e.g. when you'd like your private rooftop jacuzzi cleaned), staff are at your door within 5 minutes. You get so much more for your money than east of Marbella, and the beaches are nicer and less crowded. The restaurant on-site is a little pricey but absolutely superb food and views so it's not a rip-off - it's one of the best on the Costa. Benahavis is only 10 minutes away, with its big choice of bars & restaurants. Make sure you take a trip up to Rhonda, a beautiful old Spanish town with some must-see attractions, and the mountain road offers some absolutely breathtaking scenery. Colina Del Paraiso is by far the best place I've ever stayed on the Costa, just back from my second trip there and already looking forward to returning next year. Book and enjoy, save some room for me though...
