Brookstone Lodge near Biltmore Village, an Ascend Collection Hotel

Although the room was clean and comfortable, the hotel has many issues. Upon checking in late Friday night, several sketchy people standing against a wall just staring. Parking is an issue as well. Upon entering the hotel, people were smoking by the door, you had to hold your breath to walk in. Friday night, people above us were running up and down the hallway for an hour. At 11:30p Saturday we were woken by a car doing donuts in front of the entrance, this went in for 15 minutes! Sunday morning at check out, I inquired about this, nonchalanty, we were told they were grieving a death in the family 😳 no apologies, whatsoever. There was also fighting in the early hours. The breakfast was a joke! No sausage or eggs, forks were gone. There are too many choices of Asheville hotels, to put up with this nonsense. If you want a good nights sleep, don't stay here.

Staff was helpful and kind We stayed for a snowstorm so that we could be closer to work. We ended up not being able to get to work one day, the storm was easy worse than anticipated and plows couldn't keep up, we were very grateful for the hot breakfast. Wi-Fi was probably the best I've ever had in a hotel. It's still wasn't able to keep up with a video call with my sister so I switch back to data. But other than that it was good. I bet on a usual day it would have been way better, but a lot of people were stuck due to the storm, using it.

Great experience there in Asheville. There was such a welcoming host there at the Brookstone lodge.

A longer stay. We wish we’d taken more time to see the town.
