"Beautiful, serene and stylish hotel close to Brown Brothers"

Stayed here for a special night away on a VERY hot Sunday (circa 42 deg) so loved the pool! We arrived, parked and then popped over to Brown Brother where we'd booked for lunch - it is pretty much just over the road - which was great. Walked back in the heat and immediately headed to the pool for a cool down. After we relaxed in the room for a bit, in the lovely A/C, then walked the 300 metres to the local pub for dinner. In the morning, enjoyed a read in the lovely lounge area on level one, then a great breakfast, before heading off. Would come back and stay two nights next time! It was our 5 year anniversary and despite us booking the most affordable room, we were left a lovely welcome card and bottle of sparkling by the hotel, which was very much appreciated. Lovely big/comfortable beds too.

Just be a little wary of mini bar prices - like most places, they're steep - so we didn't plan to drink anything from there, but did have a few beers for my partner in the hotel fridge to avoid leaving in our hot car, as this was part of a longer trip. Due to some lax packing on my behalf, I accidentally packed 2 of their beers...and a $28 charge on my cc alerted me. Oops & ouch. Totally our fault, more just a cautionary tale :)

Pool area needed more shade and furniture as people left because there were not enough places to sit. Pillows were too soft for my liking.

Location and rooms were gorgeous

Pool area is tired and needs a refresh. Restaurant was closed the night we were there which we weren’t warned about.
