Aethrio Sunset Village - Oia

This is one of the more affordable villa properties in the Oia area but it’s still a gorgeous stay, with very photogenic rooms and grounds throughout the village. It has its own roof terrace for viewing of the sunset, which is very convenient and helps you avoid competing with thousands of other people for a picture. The staff are very personable and helpful. The breakfast is great. It’s very close to the main attractions in the area, and to the main transportation drop off and the dining and shopping areas that you’ll want to hit.

The staff was very pleasant. Cleanliness is spotless. The area is excellent right in the center of Oia. No need to book outside for subset view as it has open balcony upstairs for everybody to hang out and watch for sunrise and sunset. Breakfast is delicious. They will book taxi back and forth to the airport of your choice. Definitely going back here. Highly recommended.

Perfect location, just a beautiful boutique hotel! It just screams “Greece” and we loved our stay! The front desk has amazing customer service from the emails as soon as we booked to offering to arrange transfer or a rental car (get the rental car!!) to personally showing us to our room after giving us a welcome drink (the white wine is excellent here). They have a beautiful pool and rooftop terrace and I would definitely stay here again! Highly recommend!!!

Pristine and charming boutique right in the heart of Oia. A stone's throw from every thing. Beautiful rooms with period furniture and a gorgeous pool and grounds. Staff were amazing--nothing was a problem. Home made preserves at breakfast. Try the sour cherry with yogurt. Absolutely wonderful.

I didn’t want to leave….loved our sweet little room with the pretty blue door. Was so nice to wander to the shops just beyond the gate and very close/convenient to the us station. We had fun finding new routes back to our room. Having breakfast ready right out your door so you could start your day fueled was fantastic. Food was fine, not spectacular but nothing at all to complain about. The staff was phenomenal as was everyone we did business with on the island from the restaurant staff to the bus drivers. This is the only Greek Island I’ve been to and I know I should see others but I would go back to Santorini in a heart beat

Natalia was a great at providing customer service. She was able to book tours and rides and was very kind and helpful overall. The view is the sunset from the top of the property was gorgeous as well

The kindness of the staff

A very cute property with a great location. Unfortunately, there were two main things that led to the experience. First, and so simple, the towels are terrible. They smell like mildew/mold. It was so bad both of us used our own shirts to dry after realizing the towels were leaving a moldy scent. Next, there isn’t really great service in Santorini and there was no WiFi in the room. The breakfast the next morning had a good amount of Greek options and some traditional as well. Overall, this isn’t a luxury property so we had probably too high of expectations, but the towels were just unacceptable and something so easy to fix.
