Airelles Gordes, La Bastide

This is a top tier hotel with stunning views, warm interiors and exceptional service. The indoor pool, sauna and spa are a highlight. The spa services were amongst the best we have received. When we arrived they had a few gifts on the bed waiting for us and when we left they had prepared monogrammed green leather tags for us - the loveliest touch! The hotel is quite spacious with multiple places to lounge and we never felt like it was full despite clearly being popular. The bar connects to a terrace overlooking the gorge. The interior decor is also curated and a dream! Everyone from the valet to the front desk was extremely good at their job, a master class in hospitality. The minibar was complimentary and the activities that they booked for us were not expensive. I would highly recommend scheduling a picnic. They will give you electric bikes with which you can ride down to an abbey surrounded by lavender fields. The hotel is centrally located in Provence so the perfect base for any adventures! Overall it was an incredible experience and well worth the price.

A magnificent hotel atop the cliffs with spectacular views and old world charm elegant service. By far one of the best hotels I have stayed in a long time. I don't know where to start. I felt I was visiting a Royal Family and was their guest for a couple of days. The decor was not modern but all the amenities were modern. The staff was very well trained, extremely courteous and aware of your preferences and needs. My glutenfree welcome in the room was the first hint that they paid attention to detail. The Greetings from the staff as you walked around the hotel, the cold drinks and towels they gave you when you embark on a tour, the unexpected little gifts here and there, the list is endless. The grounds were beautiful with many nooks and corners to relax, read a book or just have a drink. The breakfast and the drinks on the terrace were one of my favorite moments, with magnificent view and friendly service. My biggest regret was that I only stayed 2 days and was unable to try the spa. I can't wait to go back and stay longer. I give it my GoldnAdvice seal of approval.

Truly stunning hotel. First, the service was second to none. We stayed in other well-known luxury hotels in the south of France after this stay, and the level of service in Gordes was the same or better. Second, the hotel itself: wow. The interior decor and views are spectacular. A great base for our short stay in the Luberon area.

We liked everything! No complains at all! From arrival we were met by uniformed staff who took care of car parking and whisked the luggage to our room. The property is immaculately decorated, grounds manicured to perfection. Everything in the room was included. On leaving we noticed our bags had personalised, engraved leather tags sporting the Airelles brand. Just a superb experience! Highly recommended!

I don’t usually leave reviews but this hotel is too good not to. The location, the staff, the welcome gifts and attention to detail generally, all truly special.

My only complaint, if I was to be picky, was that the pillows were not very comfortable. However, that is also personal preference and I’m sure if we asked we could have been provided with different ones.
