Comfort Suites Kilgore

The hotel itself was fine. Wasn’t expecting to share it with field workers, but I’m used to that through my job. Odd signs like, “be gentle with the elevator buttons. It takes a long time for someone to come fix them” was a possible indication of the type of guests that stay there. The pool was not available, apparently being renovated. Hotel store surprisingly small. Something black was leaking out from behind light fixtures and switches in our bathroom. Had to have been recent because you’d think they’d have cleaned or painted over it already.

This place is in a great location in Kilgore. WIthin walking distance (1 mile) from the Texas Shakespeare Festival at Kilgore College, downtown, and restaurants.

The staff could not have done more for me, friendly cooperative helpful. The TV was giant--too bad it did not work. Reservations were a huge pain in the arse. An adventure in unnecessary frustration. EXPEDIA inserted themselves in the process obstructing everything. Could not enter my hotel membership card. Could not access the two discounts I had. In the end, when I signed out I was given a receipt with NO AMOUNT on it. How much did it cost me? I think I should dispute it with my credit card company. What do you think?

The staff was great, and the faculty was nice and clean. The breakfast was awesome

The air-conditioned in our room didnt get cold we all kept waking up saying it's hot and was sweating got up turned all the way down and made sure it was on high and it remained hot

The bed was very comfortable and breakfast was very good. The lady was very attentive with breakfast.

The room had a damp humid feel and it smelled bad with a musty odor. Also we could here someone conversation through the vents in the rr. We were on 2nd floor and some was running or stomping. We were so tired we fell asleep and didn't report it.
