The location is absolutely fantastic! Everything is in walking distance. Especially because driving around Glenwood Springs can be tricky. We kind of liked that the room was like stepping back into the early 2000's. When you think about it, you aren't on vacation to hang out in your hotel room.

The bed that we had was a little hard. I would recommend bringing a couple pillows and maybe another blanket? But, it really wasn't that bad.

Our stay at the Glenwood Springs Inn came at the end of a week-long driving vacation. We selected this motel based on its good reviews and attractive rates, but were not expecting a memorable experience. In fact, after checking in at the small office, I imagined breakfast would be limited to a grim selection of cellophane-wrapped pastries and coffee to be consumed in our room. What a wonderful surprise it was then to discover the following morning that breakfast was provided in a separate spacious dining hall! I was happy to find my favorites – hot and cold cereals as well as waffles and fresh fruit – but the unexpected treat was enjoying a breakfast with real cutlery and ceramic mugs and dishes! Not having to dispose of a mound of single-use utensils, cups and dishes at the end of the meal really made this the most pleasant breakfast experience of our trip. Our room was attractive, clean and comfortable. The location made it easy to access downtown on foot, and yet our room was well insulated from traffic noise. The view of the red mountainside from the second-floor balcony was an added plus.
