We are a family of three, including one 12 years old boy. We stayed two nights at Northwood during our first visit to New Zealand South Island, and it was a delight! The host lady was so welcoming, making us feel right at home. The room was clean and had all the necessary facilities for a comfortable stay. It’s in a perfect location near the airport and city center. We absolutely recommend this place and hope to come back again someday.

What a lovely roadside spot this is. Very nice hosts. Very close to Christchurch and a perfect stop along the way to Kaikoura and Picton

The grounds were very well maintained and cozy. the room smelled clean and had all the amenities. The driver to the airport was very friendly and enjoyable. Overall a great stay.

They have a free airport shuttle but only between certain hours. We would need to pay $25 for a ride outside of those hours. They did leave a little earlier for us and that was nice, but it would have been nice if that had been a little more clear prior to booking.
