SpringHill Suites by Marriott Cincinnati Midtown

We stay here anytime I have a doctor stay at Cincinnati children’s hospital. It’s very clean, located near hospital and staff if always great!

great location with easy access to parking and the freeway. The staff were extremely nice. We enjoyed the swimming pool.

Breakfast was very hectic. There were many guests and it appeared there was only one staff refilling the food/ drink. The poor lady was doing the best she could, but the food was limited and the coffee was at a shortage.

Keisha is very courteous very friendly lady. Made my stay very pleasant. She’s a great person

Location

We liked the location on the northern edge of downtown. It was easy to jump on I-71 to visit family in the suburbs, as well as shop & dine in the Rookwood area. Parking is usually $10/night, but it was comped on arrival. The room layout (2 double beds + sitting area) suited us, but overall, the property is worn around the edges: slightly chipped furniture and the tub stopper did not work until we complained two days in a row. (That's problematic because for health reasons, I need a tub soak. Didn't get that until the third and final night.) Despite lobby photographs displaying crispy croissants, breakfast was the usual ho-hum hotel fare. The staff is friendly, but communication to other departments such as maintenance (described above) and housekeeping was lacking. The room was not made up on day two. When we returned to the room late that night, we made the beds & emptied the trash ourselves. The assistant manager at the front desk was apologetic and brought us towels. At my request, she comped us for one night. This stay was between Christmas and New Year's when it's understandably difficult to keep a business fully staffed. However, overall, I felt more like I was staying in a youth hostel rather than a nice hotel with reliable service.
