The location was suitable for my needs.

The office was closed due to a staffing shortage which I had not been notified of. A note was on the door to check in at a hotel across the street. It had snowed and there were several inches on the sidewalk. Nothing had been plowed or shoveled. My granddaughter had just had ankle surgery and I had to use my foot to clear a path to the door. There were coffee pods but no coffee maker or cups. We had to go across the street in the morning to get breakfast which was sparse at best.

Easy to find and right off the highway.

Because of staffing issues, the office was closed and I had to go across the road to the Howard Johnson to check in and get the key cards.

It was a non-smoking room and you could tell that smokers had stayed there in the past. Unfortunately, the place did not have enough staff to operated the front desk and we had to go across the street to check in and again, for the breakfast the next morning.

The location. It was close to my destination and it was the cheapest.

My first experience was having to wait to check in until the employee finished her cigarette with some guy. She apologized but I just drove 6 hours and wanted to get to my room. When I finally arrived to my room (across the parking lot - maybe 75 feet) I opened the door and was hit with a very bad smell. It smelled like outdated Pine Sol and stale cigarettes. Although this was a non-smoking facility… I managed to sleep okay and when I was getting ready I realized I forgot my deodorant. I called the front desk and asked if someone could bring that and set it outside the door. He seemed quite out-off by that request and say I could come get it. Keep in mind it was 75 feet away and would have taken him 60 seconds round trip. The customer service was very sub-par and I left feeling like a disgruntled customer rather than a guest. I realize the person reading this cannot fix that and my expectations are so low that my summary will most likely be deleted. I’ll pay the extra $50 bucks next time.

Air conditioning did not seem to remove humidity.

Super 8 exceeded my expectations! The staff were super friendly. The room was super cute, clean, and spacious. The design in the rooms were modern and intentional. The breakfast was great. It was my first motel experience with young children, and it was really great! We at first chose it for being a cheaper place, but it ended up being really nice and had the feel of a more expensive hotel. We definitely will be looking to stay at Super 8’s more in the future.

The bathtub wasn’t working, but the shower was great.
