Clearwater Suite Hotel

The bed was VERY squeaky and the room was pretty musty. Weird smell coming from the bathroom.

Inside this property was wonderful with large rooms and all the amenities you could need. Outside was typical for inner city with individuals loitering within the parking lots but not directly near the entrances of the building.

The website was confusing as to whether or not the hot tub was open and I thought the latest information indicated that it was open and planned my trip accordingly. It was not open, and I was hugely disappointed. Also the key card failed to work 4 times even though it had been in a pocket by itself each time. The whole hotel smells like pine sol, including our room, as it seems to be coming through the vents, which is pretty nasty, and during breakfast hours they were mopping in front of the restaurant, which made it extremely toxic and slippery, instead of waiting until after 10 am. The TV in the breakfast restaurant was so loud it was difficult to enjoy breakfast, and when I asked her to turn it down it was still blaring so loud that I ate my breakfast outside of the restaurant to get away from it. On the plus side, it is central, the beds are very comfortable, and the duvet and pillows are very nice. The internet worked well and the underground parking was nice. The staff was also extremely nice, and they handled my extreme disappointment with politeness and grace. The general state of the hotel was run down, but clean. The breakfast food was decent and the coffee was quite good. My suggestions to the hotel are as follows: - get a key card system that doesn’t de-magnetize so easily - alter the website so it ONLY says the hot tub is NOT working - alter either what you’re cleaning the floors with to be less toxic or be more careful where and when you use the chemicals.

Upon arrive, the receptions start talking their foreign language and then gave me a room that was a double bed when I book a queen size bed. They also had stained towels in the bathroom and when we tried getting new room they told us no

The beds are really small and only 1 pillow per person. The hot tub was not working. No back door entrances. Breakfast was not appealing. Not much of a choice.

Everything was pretty good except the lobby and hallway were kept at uncomfortably warm temperatures (28 degrees Celsius).
