Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites Statesville by IHG

Need a little cosmetic touchup.

Nice place, great staff.especially the long term maintenance man!

At 9:10am, housekeeping knocked 2x on the door, an proceeded to walk in the room without even announcing herself. She immediately exited when she realized the room was still occupied. 1st of all she should have announced herself prior to entering, an allowed atleast a min before entering. 2nd check out is 11am. 3rd the do not disturb sign was on the door. 4th when I called the front desk, someone immediately picked up the phone an placed me on hold. You can atleast acknowledge the call, then advice the caller your placing them on hold. When Maria did return to the line, she just advised ok i'll talk to housekeeping. She offered no apologies, etc.

Safe and clean

The hotel is close to the highways. The rooms are quiet, except when the doors close. They seem to slam shut. The rooms are clean and have your shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion all by Dove. There's a hair dryer in the room as well as an iron and ironing board. There's a clock and bible in the room. The staff is all very friendly and very helpful. We've enjoyed the little indoor pool. Had a nice housekeeper named Pamela who took care of us by leaving extra wash cloths in our room. We would definitely stay there again. Fast food as well as sit down restaurants & gas stations are very close. There's even a pizza shop next to the parking lot. We've eaten there. Not bad.

We were visiting family , the hotel was close to their house. It offered breakfast. The smell of chlorine was a bit much when you walked in: that’s all you could smell The room was clean

Would stay again, nice stop over on our way north for the summer.

The housekeeping staff did not provide any service to our room. When we returned in the evening, we did not have any clean towels and beds were not made. Monica, the receptionist, was very nice, helpful and apologetic.

The facilities are old , The room smelled. Never staying there again.

Very nice hotel! The breakfast was delicious, modern decor , and clean! Will definitely stay again!
