That it was shown as a hotel but it’s not. That you have to self check in which I wasn’t informed only hours later after I called and tried to reach someone. I had dirt and hair on towels and sheets. The AC took VERY long to get cold. The bed is very very high and uncomfortable and there are stairs which makes carrying luggage etc difficult. I felt the contact I had was kind of unfriendly and when I left I was asked if everything was okay but I had to leave and didn’t want the argument (I’m very introverted). I think for the discomfort and not being as clean and everything the price isn’t really reasonable. I’d have left but it was very late at night and I’m not a good driver in the dark as well. I’m sorry but I wouldn’t recommend it but maybe some people like that Ambiente..

I had an absolutely wonderful stay here - truly one of the best places I’ve ever stayed in. From the moment I arrived, everything felt like home. Cheryl, the host, was fantastic - so welcoming and helpful in every way. She gave clear instructions before arriving, so check-in was smooth and flexible. She’s also always ready to answer any questions, share great recommendations, and have a friendly chat, which I very much appreciated. The inn itself is amazing, full of history and charm. If you want to experience a real traditional inn, this is a must-stay. I especially enjoyed learning about Admiral Peary - a fascinating story tied to the place. The atmosphere is so calm and relaxing. I loved spending quiet evenings in the garden, just soaking it all in. And I can’t forget the homemade breakfasts—absolutely delicious and the perfect way to start each day! All in all, this was a truly memorable stay, and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Honest review from experienced travelers. This is an old house in a low to middle class neighborhood with views to a rough looking back yard and neighborhood street. The room we stayed in brought me back to my childhood bedroom with wall to wall carpet. Needless to say needs updating. We were not greeted by anyone, but left to communicate by phone if needed. Sitting rooms felt old and dark throughout and in need of updating, unless you prefer going back in time to the 70’s. Since we paid for the room online, it was non refundable. Had it been, we would have went elsewhere once we pulled up and saw the location and room. The next morning there was a full breakfast and someone was in the kitchen (maybe the owner?) who told us to help ourselves. However, upon checkout, the breakfast was charged to our bill. Had we known that it was not complimentary (maybe a sign, if not communication, would have been helpful) we would have had breakfast elsewhere. This is the first Inn we’ve been to where breakfast is not complimentary. (We have since learned we were charged because we paid through a third party. ) So basically either way you are ultimately being charged for breakfast. Overall, this was not a relaxing, hospitable overnight stay as expected. It is dark and old which felt dirty to me even though it may have been clean. Overall, it was as if we were staying in someone’s childhood home (who really didn’t want you to be there) and felt uncomfortable from beginning to end. Buyer beware.
