Captain Farris House

The property is gorgeous. Pulling into the parking lot you immediately see an open yard, gazebo, and lots of beautiful flowers. We stayed in the Davis room (#4) which was charming and relaxing. The spa bath was perfect to relax before bed and after the beach. They always had fresh tea, coffee, soda, and wine available and the owners were happy to help with anything and everything. The complementary homemade breakfast was amazing we never left hungry. I would highly recommend this B&B I can’t wait to go back.

The bed was kind of uncomfortable and the pillows deflated quickly. But that just me being picky!

The atmosphere and the service were excellent. The attention given to prepare delicious gluten-free food for me was outstanding (I have celiac disease). The owners and the staff were all wonderful--they were efficient, polite, and helpful at all times.

I wasn't able to use the spa bathtub in our bathroom which disappointed me (the shower was fine, however). Carol was lovely about showing me how to work the different jet spa controls, but 10 minutes after she left our room, all the spa spray knobs she had turned on suddenly and uncontrollably projected water all over the walls and floor of the bathroom (neither my husband nor I had touched any knobs or controls after Carol turned them on and then left). My husband quickly turned everything off, but we had to use all the bathroom towels to wipe up all the water that had sprayed the bathroom's walls and floor. I gave up trying to use and enjoy a SPA-like bath.

Wonderful innkeepers, Carol and Jeff. Very hospitable and accommodating. Breakfast was fantastic.

Carol and Jeff were, once again, amazing. They were welcoming and so accommodating with my food allergies and needs. The room was gorgeous and clean. The breakfasts were delicious. The staff there were hospitable and so friendly. Carol’s homemade GF cookies everyday were literally made for myself and one other guest! It was like staying with family. It was so relaxing and we can’t wait to go back! I’d recommend to anyone with celiac disease as well as anyone else!

Delicious breakfast, beautifully plated. Carol was very helpful and supportive in adapting the breakfast to my dietary needs. Yvonne was very pleasant and efficient serving us.

A little nosy at night above room 8 but it didn’t last very long and was just the first couple of nights.

Carol and Jeff are delightful hosts. The facility is clean and inviting. Breakfast was always a pleasant surprise. We thoroughly enjoyed our four days at Captain Farris house and would gladly stay there again.
