"Everything you need, right by the sea"

8.0

It had everything you needed and 2 minutes from the beach front, I stayed for Develop conference and it's just around the corner. Friendly staff and able to come and go as I need. Shower wasn't too powerful but that's the only minor negative :)

"Nice hotel near the beach, i360 tower and shops"

6.0

Basically with this hotel; you get what you pay for. Booked a single bed for 1 night beginning of July 2018. I know Brighton very well and so thew hotel is in an ideal location. Not far from Brighton train station, very close to the beach, i360 tower and very close to the main high street and shopping centre. I arrived about 1 and half hours early for check in and fortunately the lady at reception let me check in early at no extra cost, for which I am very greatful! I received a double bed although I booked a single bed so I certainly didn't complain about that, was a nice bonus. I'm not bothered as to where the window looks out to or anything like that. I mainly booked the room because I just needed a bed to sleep in as I was only there for one night. The en suite bathroom was ok. The corner shower unit was dirty/scummy at the bottom. other than that it was all clean. I'm not sure why but the hotel doesn't provide cold water through the bathroom taps. The running water just goes warm in both taps. When its a hot summer (rare in the UK I know!) it's nice to have cold water to wash your face with. The hotel wifi signal didn't reach my bed! I had no signal from the hotel wifi in my bedroom so had to rely on my 4G which gave me 1 bar! All in all the room was fine, the hotel is fine, the reception was fine, you basically get what you pay for. Except for the wifi signal.

"Probably the worst hotel in Brighton"

2.0

This is a terrible hotel and I would not recommend it. I was given a room which was extremely small and the toilet was not working. I changed the room but I had no hot water. The service was not friendly and the building needs maintenance.

"Nothing more than 'just ok' if all you need is a crash pad"

4.0

This hotel has a great location but hasn't seen a decorator since the 1970s. It's not unclean, but a lack of general maintenance did mean that there was mould growing in the ceiling above the shower and such nuances should be expected. However the one member of staff was very helpful, breakfast is served at the excellent Regency Restaurant on the corner of Regency Square, and if all you want is somewhere to sleep without breaking the bank and you don't mind 1970s floral patterns and slightly tired decor, it won't disappoint.
