Saikaew Beach Resort

The hotel location was perfect. It located almost at the end of the busy saikaew beach that was very popular with the tourists and the local vendors. Considering how busy the beach was, our hotel stay was very nice and quiet. The room was surprisingly nice and modern. The transportation provided by the hotel (local songtaew bus and ferry to the mainland) was also wonderful and convenient. Also, the beach itself was busy with vendor throughout the day and the evening, but it was cleaned up nightly. Very impressive.

A well located option with good facilities. We stayed in a Premier room which was very pleasant and located on a beautiful courtyard with a pool in the centre. It was much quieter than the beach area. The resort provides ferry service from the Ao Prao Pier on the mainland anf this was well coordinated and the waiting room at the pier is great!

In general itnia good but they could do better in some small touches. There were no cotton pads supplied and also no laundry plastic bags (you have to ask for it). Water drained from the air conditioner and made our things wet ..... Check out took too long and they only check the room after the check out process complete and they made you wait until the room was checked which waste you another 10 mins!!

Very good hotel with excellent staff. Very welcoming throughout, beginning as soon as you arrive at the pier just outside Rayong for the ferry. Koh Samet is almost perfect. Lovely hotel, lovely beach, lovely people and clear waters. Annoying were the speedboats coming and going. So many. Had a day trip (turned into half day trip) to Ao Phrao but 2 speedboats reversed directly at us when we were swimming in the water forcing us to get out. They parked on the beach securing their anchors right in front of our deck chairs (50THB a day) and some of the Chinese tourists even went to sit in our deck chairs to take photos. Park employees not interested in our complaint or safety. Hotel is more expensive than others but worth it. Next time we will come in low season and hope for less speedboats with tourists taking over the resorts and beaches.

Extremely poor service from front desk staff who are rude and obnoxious. The property is beautiful and is divided into three areas. Cottages are the nicest. Staff Service and training needs a major overhaul.

Payed approx 12000 THB incl. tax for two days at this beach resort in hotels.com and we was placed in an ugly bungalow about 5 min walk from the hotel's main buildings The bungalow was not nice and is worth at most 3000 THB for the two days. Nothing in hotels.com indicated this but showed us a nice resort in the pictures. We had to upgrade to get the standard we expected in the hotel main part and payed another 5000 THB. My Thai wife told me that the staff said that they gave us a Thai price upgrade, not sure about that. Our new room, breakfast and it's location was good but we will not return because we felt disappointed and tricked by this resort! The staff was nice as they should be for the price. We didn't extend our stay and moved to another hotel..

Amazing resort !! I will plan to go back next year!!

We stayed in one of the cheaper rooms and loved it as it was in the garden away from the busier parts of the hotel. Sitting outside in the morning sun was an absolute joy. Would go back.

Top notch customer service and a beautiful beach. I was very happy during my stay and would definitely come back.

Good timing for a visit to the island and the hotel too.. good activities and wonderful service as well.
