Holiday Inn Express Lodi by IHG

The room needed a lot of touch ups - missing edge on corner of wall, frayed carpet edge, nicks and marks all over front and back of doors. Breakfast was a joke. The first morning there was no milk for the cereal and the waffle maker was broken. The second morning none of the hot food was available, including the still broken waffle maker.

Check in person was so friendly! Our stay was enjoyable

Normally I never place bad reviews since I have been using Trip Advisors for I think about 10 years (not sure how long but a long time) Our Family stayed here for a birthday party in Lodi, we booked 4 rooms. I have stayed here previously. Here's my complaint(s) 1. ***First time I booked directly through Hotel, paid bill and it I paid ADDITIONAL CHARGES for 1 day of $13.20 said they were RESORT FEES at end of receipt......Second time I did not get a final receipt as booked through Priceline, BUT UPON CHECKING OUT I SPECIFICALLY ASKED IF I WAS PAID IN FULL, clerk said I was PAID IN FULL and no balance was due, 2 days later I get a charge for $30.12, so called hotel manager, Alicia. She stated it is a CONVENIENCE FEE CHARGE for using their soaps, refrigerator, etc (WHAT... CHARGE FOR USING THEIR PRODUCTS IN THE ROOM?) . I said I was unaware of signing for this and was not advised so verbally. THEY SAID I INITIALED it on the bill ( but couldn't give me a copy)THERE IS A LAW CALLED SB478, which prohibits JUNK FEES FROM BEING CHARGED, I feel I was swindled these additional fees. 2. Pool was "closed". 3. BREAKFAST was good, BUT they ran out of food and had to wait for over 1/2 hour for more food (don't they know how many people are staying at their hotel and plan accordingly?). 4. Wanted our room cleaned on second day we stayed there, was told I had to let them know BEFORE 8:00 AM (did not advise of this also) and it was too late to get room cleaned, so no room cleaning on second day. 5. Washer/Dryer out of order ROOMS WERE CLEAN AND BED COMFORTABLE AND HOTEL CLERKS WERE NICE *** BELOW IS THE SMALL PRINT FOR MY 2024 BILL, but never got the 2025 copy of bill I requested. Tax and Fee Details 10.69% per night not included in rate effective 22 September, 2024 thru 23 September, 2024 ****12.60 USD per night NOT (hidden fee???) included in rate effective 22 September, 2024 thru 23 September, 2024

Overall stay was great. Customer service was awesome and very friendly! Rooms were very spacious. One thing breakfast can add is more and a variety of fresh fruits.

The pool and laundry were out of order for the entire 4 days that we were there. The floors were dirty. They had no milk on the last day for breakfast. They allow guests to fill their coolers with ice 24/7. Do not stay in room 128 due to the noise of the ice machine. Despite all this, the staff was very friendly.

Breakfast was great. We got a good view of the vineyard. Room was amazing .

This is the second time I stay at this specific hotel. The first time I thought it was great, but this time around we got a room that needs the door handles fixed. Right off the bat we get to our room and the door doesn’t open so I go back down to the lobby and funny thing the desk clerk knew exactly what room and what my problem Was. Then my son got stuck in the bathroom, can’t get out. Come to find out that the bathroom Knob has the same issue. Then at the breakfast area, food ran out and I feel that if you know your hotel is close to fully booked then plan to have more food available for your guests. I heard from other family members that the desk clerk didn’t handle the complaints of the guests very well and let her rage take over. Very unprofessional.
