There wasn't enough food and no coffee at 8 am in the morning. This was the worst stay I've ever had with Embassy suites. Very disappointing

Horrible experience on my 33rd wedding anniversary. Arrived around 8pm. Checked for availability on hilton.com and expedia.com before I walked in and both showed 1 king suite available. Instead of booking online I went to front desk for room. Before I could finish saying "I'd like a room for tonight " the lady at the desk took one look at me and said we're all booked up, there are no rooms available. I said ok and walked away thinking they were booked. Then I called hilton and sure enough they had one king room left, so I booked it. Hilton sent me the confirmation and I went back to the front desk. Again before I could say a word the same lady said "did you just book with hilton, we are overbooked." I got hilton on the line and they confirmed my reservation and inform the lady (who said she is a manager) that my booking was confirmed and that it would not have been possible to book if there was no availability. The lady responded with "there were 10 rooms available and 9 were booked " then she changed it to "there were 9 rooms available and all 9 were booked." I will say this had I booked online before walking in, I believe I would have had a room. When she saw me, suddenly the hotel was booked. I submitted my complaint via hilton reservation and will follow up with HQ on Monday and will go further if needed. For anyone who experience anything similar, say so.

My wife and I have stayed there dozens of times over the years. We frequently check in early and find that a room is available. This time, we were told that we could not, because the desk people don't communicate with the housekeeping people and thus do not know when rooms are available. WTF? Finally, a desk person called me a said they had a room for us. We got there and the TV did not work and the toilet ran. We changed rooms. The room was fine. The next morning, I asked the desk clerk if she could get housekeeping to service our room at the earliest time. She said she would put us on a list, or something. Anyway, when we got back to our room at 11:00 am, it was not done. At noon the housekeeping was at the room next door. I asked her if my room was next, and she said "no". I asked if my room would be done soon and she said "no" and walked away. At 3:00pm, the room was still not serviced. So, I found a cart with towels and grabbed a few. This is pathetic. Next, breakfast is amateur hour. They begin with no utensils to dish out the food from the buffet. Then, they have no silverware to eat with. WTF? Why do I have to ask for these things? On the positive side, the remodel (finally!) looks good. Now, how about training your employees how to work in the service industry. This is a total failure of management.

Hotel was nice and lady in front check out was nice and the room was so nice and clean everyone was so helpful. The food was good The omelette station young man was rude. He needs to be moved and reprimanded for his attitude and attention to the customer.
