The Crossing

Great location, incredibly friendly and helpful staff in office, restaurant, pub, gas station, gift shop. Incredible view. The breakfast and dinner buffets were decent.

Because of the lack of competition along the Icefield Parkway, The Crossing charges 40 to 300% more than you would expect on everything from gas (2.34 a liter vs 1.54 same day in Canmore), to bug spray ($29.99 for the same OFF small can that's $13.99 at Cdn Tire), to draft beer, food for the road...All prices were so outrageous.

The room and the pub

Great views of the mountains, a good stopping point along the Icefield Parkway. Staff were friendly and helpful. The shop was useful for buying basic food. The buffet dinner had plenty of choice. The salad bar was good.

Needs updating and a bit of tlc. No kettle to boil to make tea although teabags were provided. Expensive and not as good as other accommodation we’ve stayed in on our travels in BC. Our room had two queen beds which meant there was little floor space left to open out our bags.

Location and good view.

Meals are expensive and room is quite small for the four of us.
