Hampton Inn Denver Northeast-Brighton

One night quick stay. Had everything we needed, clean, quiet, and good breakfast.

Not the greatest area of Brighton but clean and quiet. Easy to get to from the highway.

In fairness, this was partly Orbitz's fault. We arrived very late at night with our 6 year old to find that the hotel had cancelled our reservation. They said our card was declined several times (Orbitz charged our card when we made the booking), they had no other rooms, and when we asked the desk attendant to help us find something else she refused. Of the cancellation, she said this is something that happens with third party vendors. What I don't understand is why no one got in touch with me. The hotel could see that we were trying to make a reservation so they should have reached out to us or Orbitz and someone should have told us that our room was not booked BEFORE we arrived at 1am. So, in short, I have no idea how this hotel is.

The staff was amazing helpful and kind! And the property was very clean!

The pool and hot tub were out of service. They gave us a handicap room which we did not order saying that was the only room left with a king bed even though the hotel was only about 1/2 full. Been an Honors member for a long time so was totally disappointed.

Contacted hotel personally before booking to make sure late check in was ok our room was canceled even though spoke to staff an note was left on our reservation. I was 18hrs from home with no place to stay due to this. We went in after 11am on the 4th to be told we still had our reservation and it was fully paid for previously an the lady I spoke to said that is why we were canceled due to card not going thru. If reservation had been paid for a month previously why would you cancel the reservation with notes and put someone thru that stress. I was very upset with her not looking at notes on reservation an trying to double charge us.

The toilet seat was broken, the water in the bath tub didn’t stop running and it would non stop drip at a steady rate, the tv wouldn’t work because the cable box was not functioning. So while I was in the room I had to listen to water running non stop which made it hard to sleep.
