Aloft by Marriott Leawood-Overland Park

Everything was out of order and we had to move rooms more than once. We only stayed 2 nights so it was very inconvenient. The staff was absolutely professional when handling the issues; however they did not have a replacement room for what I booked. The toilet did not flush at all which makes the entire room out of order. The room they had available did not have a working tv. The other room did not have a pull out sofa. It was quite the ordeal. The laundry facilities are broken, the air in the main area is not working. I came inside the hotel and it was still hot. The elevator stopped working as well. A few other little things BUT the inoperable TOILET is what started our stay.

Very cool spot, there are so many fun things to do see and eat right outside the hotel doors. Can't wait to come back.

Disappointed in the bar and that it did not have much in the way of a selection of wine. I’ve stayed at ALoft before, and the bar was much better stocked than this time. The bartender was fabulous, but he had not much to give us.

Booked through hotel.com. Hotel.com overbooked hotel was moved to a different hotel WITHOUT being notified. Rest of family was here while I was across town. Came home after 1 day do to so much inconvenience. was only given a partial refund for one night, booked hotel for three nights. NEVER will use hotel.com again. Compare to ordering a steak and getting a hamburger

Shower was awful. Pressure was mid at best and it took forever for the water to get warm. Then it was blazing hot. Wall outlets were also hit or miss.

The floor was extremely noisy, including someone vacuuming at 3am. The staff was overwhelmed almost every time I was at the desk. My clothes were lost and never recovered, food just purchased was thrown away, and toiletries also thrown out when staff was not informed of my extension. I even placed the do not disturb outside and staff still entered.

Great location and serious.

I had a corner room with a great view of the plaza.

While it couldn’t really be avoided, they were cleaning the air conditioner units throughout the time I was there.
