Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Olathe South by IHG

Fair ,variety of choices, with most items each day Staff always refilling , cleaning , and keeping an eye on things, helpful when we needed something.

Choices of cereal were not that good. The air in the eating area was warm/ hot.

Very very disappointed with the staff, service and cleanliness. We had traveled with our kids over 18 hours between 2 days. When we checked into the hotel-there wasn’t any other visitors which should’ve been a indicator. We got into the room. The floor was disgusting. There was pee on the seat. I wiped down the entire room with a Clorox wipe so my children could use the bathroom. There was scum at the bottom of the tub that had not been wiped up and thwre was an exposed pipe (which is against code by the way) that was leaking a brown/black filament. We obviously dis not stay and were refused a refund although we were assured a full refund would be provided. It has been a month and i am still getting the run around from the hotel, who is refusing to refund us what we were promised/assured.

Location was not bad hotel looked like it was very clean

I was told that I would have a handicap unit, I have severe mobility issues, when I got to my room, the only handicapped accessibility to the entire room, was a grab bar in the bathtub. I have five ruptured disc in my back, and I have neuropathy in my legs, and the toilet was almost on the floor. Not what I was promised to check in, and in the emails that I received from the hotel, that they would accommodate me, and then they give me a toilet that I have to do everything in my power to grab onto to get off of. So for that reason, I doubt if I would stay with them again When I pay $206 for a room, I expect to get what I’m told I’m going to get and not anything less. And the checkout was 11 o’clock. That was ridiculous also. Most places I stay at it’s noon or one or even 2 o’clock check out 11 o’clock check out it’s just totally ridiculous and I will never ever stay at another hotel. It has an 11 o’clock checkout for $206 a night.

I was looking forward to soaking in a tub; then I find rust spots all over the bottom of the tub. I was looking forward to using the pool and the hot tub, but it was out of commission. Broken. They could have told me this before I booked the room. Before I paid for the room. My body hurting...I got a bed. Thank you.

Variety of breakfast options. Easy to get to. Not super busy.

I was not aware there were tracks near the hotel. The first train that went through was loud.

Clean rooms.

Staff was not welcoming. Not unfriendly, just didn’t seem to care whether they had paying guests. They need to be trained to say “welcome to Olathe. May i have your name?” Room safe did not work. Card key did not work three times. Had to go have a new one keyed.

Made my reservation through Booking. Com Credit Card on file i opted to pay upon arrival. Payed Cash being exhausted i was in bed by 9:30 pm. Around 11:30 pm someone started knocking on my door and would not stop until I got up and answered the door. When I opened the door the man standing on the other side immediately pointed his finger at me and told me that I did not pay for my room, . Why is this man waking me up for that reason when I had already Payed in cash and they had my credit card on file. It turned into a very loud shouting match and was even threatened to have the police called, I welcomed it. After realizing he had a mistake he thought a simple I'm sorry would survives. I will never stay there again. What a horrible experience I had.
