Waters Edge Shoreside Suites

Very quiet location. Enjoyed watching the tides. Big windows to let in the breeze, & a balcony, corner fireplace was a nice touch.

I was told just a few stairs to our suite but turned out to be 16 steps. Hard on the knees

Honestly, nothing. Upon arrival I was charged twice for my stay, due to the receptionist not checking the notes that stated I had paid when I booked. It was impossible for the receptionist to give me a refund immediately. The roommate itself was fine however, the smell of burnt food lingered our entire stay. While trying to check out, the receptionist was extremely nasty. I believe her name was Kaylee for reference. Was not considerate of our negative experience and did not try and redirect or fix our experience. If anything she made it 10 times worse.

Everything. The reception staff are incompetent, have bad behaviour and attitude. It’s honestly such a shame. Our experience was so terrible. Especially coming up on the peak of tourism season. I was really looking forward to visiting this area, but I can ensure I will not be back.

The room and property were lovely. Unfortunately, what could have otherwise been a pleasant stay was completely overshadowed by our awful experience with staff and management both in the lead up to, and during our stay. We were confirmed a discounted rate via email upon booking. Then, when I received a follow up confirmation in the week before our stay, it contained completely incorrect information - wrong name, wrong dates/duration, and wrong rate. When I brought this internal error to staff attention, I was informed of yet another staff error in the original booking, and told I would not in fact receive the discounted rate, already confirmed in writing, due to this internal error. Rather than staff or management taking responsibility for their own errors, the original confirmed rate was effectively revoked, and the confirmed reservation, which had been made in good faith, through no misrepresentations on our part, and relied upon by us for weeks following, was not honoured. The manager ignored all attempts to contact them, and staff member Kaeli was rude and condescending to both me and my sister's party who experienced the same series of events. Rather than swallow a mere $150 mistake and respect a confirmed reservation, staff chose to provide 'service' falling far short of industry standard, and in turn, have irreparably tarnished their reputation in our eyes. With the abundance of other respectable options for accommodations available in the Ucluelet area, we will never stay here again and would encourage others to save their money, time, and energy, and look literally anywhere else. Hopefully these internal issues and practices will be addressed by Water's Edge management soon.

I had trouble with the dishwasher not starting when we left so felt bad about leaving a job undone.

Beautiful and quite place with a wonderful view of the bay. Room was more spacious than expected and our family loved it.

We were hoping to cook a few things in the oven, but there was no standard baking pan provided. Not a big deal, but one minor item that could be added.

An issue with our room was quickly resolved way beyond my expectation!

That we hadn't booked for longer!!!

Absolutely stunning views from our room and all the amenities of a great hotel with the bonus of a full kitchen; fireplace and tub on our balcony. Coffee and tea provided as well as shampoo, conditioner and body wash. A very relaxing and quiet place fit for couples or families. Unique beaches to explore directly off the property. If you are as lucky as we were, the vibrant, friendly barks of sealions ensured we were awake for another wonderful day in town. We were lucky enough to see harbour seals, sealions and sea stars all from our window. Bring binoculars to see the entire harbour. We can't wait to come back.
