Grand Hotel

It’s a beautiful property what they don’t tell you is that the other half of the property is across the street and it’s been remodeled and much more modern furniture

I didn’t like that we were separated from our party

I liked the idea of staying in a very old hotel right in downtown. The ceilings are gorgeous and the lobby is welcoming and cozy. The antique pieces are lovely.

It’s old and tired. Our bathroom had a tiled floor that was uneven—think a rolling wave. The room reeked of a plug in air freshener. Too much! There is a smell of mild mildew so perhaps that’s why the hotel is using the air fresheners. Our window shades in our room wouldn’t stay closed and the street noise would have been bothersome without earplugs. Thankfully we had some!

We loved walking to the union bear and coffee shop. The chophouse was outstanding. The food and wait staff were so professional and attentive.

The small conditioner, shampoo bottle continued to fall on the shower floor.

The old style look and feel. The service was excellent. Within walking distance of restaurants and shops. Very enjoyable.

No refrigerators in the room we were in. No coffee makers.

Awesome older building with lots of character and a great staff

My best friend from high school was married Oct 5, 2025, this is where we stayed. The hotel was great. Beds were very comfy, shower was small could only fit one person, and could use a little updating. The parking was a disaster for someone traveling from a distance because it is in the middle of the main downtown area and this area is "happening" and THAT was a plus because once you finally find a parking spot you will not want or need to leave, as there are many shops, boutiques, cafes, and taverns for whatever you like. The service was amazing! Overall the only negative is the parking.
