Best place in Thailand, with a MINUS!! I score 10 the people working at Soneva. They are very professional, truly dedicated to you, with deep empathy. I score 10 the food experience. The Chef Chris (French) is very versatile in cooking your very favorite dish. I score 10 the location. Really private, exclusive, naturally fused in the nature. Facing the best beach in the island.

I score 5 the owner of the property (Soneva Kiri) which stopped to invest many years ago. The resort/hotel is old, with no maintenance and poor/cheep solutions to keep things together. Is a pity. If the owner will start to invest again in the materials and amenities, the resort will and can score 10

The villas are extremly old . They need an urgent renovation . I would give maximum 3 stars to the villa were we stayed . In the bathroom there was a very bad smell . Towels were yellowish , water in the pool also yellow and very cold , it was impossible for us to enter . Very hard we could close or open doors / windows in the villa .

The resort is beautiful but starting to show its age The property is due and deserves a face left/upgrade Staff and food are excellent The setting is idyllic The gym should have a wash room and a stationary cycle or two

The hotel is showing a little wear and tear but that’s more than made up for by it’s gorgeous setting and attentive staff- The food was great as well- Our guest experience manager went above and beyond to be helpful

We stayed at Soneva Kiri for our honeymoon and could not have been more pleased with our experience. Our villa was beautiful, private, and had the most stunning views of the jungle and the ocean. We were taken care of from the moment of our check-in at the airport until we arrived back in Bangkok and the host helped us into our taxi. The food at Soneva is incredible. Seriously, we didn't have a bad meal. We'd highly recommend the full board meal option, as it saves money and hassle in the long run. It also brought prompter service, from what we could tell. Our guardian, Fon, was such a joy and catered to our every need. Everyone should have a Fon in their life. We greatly appreciated our housekeeping staff, Cat, who made sure our room had all our creature comforts and was always clean. She also helped with our laundry, which was helpful because we were always sweating! There isn't a single bad thing to say about this resort and we can't wait to return.
