This was my first time visiting Mexico and the Ensenada area. The hotel room was lovely, and even better than expected. I stayed with my two kids and it was very spacious. The balcony area was a huge plus, I didn't know our room would have one. We enjoyed spending some time out on the balcony in the early mornings and evenings. All of the staff that we encountered were very friendly and helpful, as well as linguistically knowledgeable in English when my Spanish was not the best. We ordered room service during one of the nights of our stay when it was already passed 11:30pm. We ordered the pizza and spaghetti bolognese, both were delicious! I love that room service was offered until 1:00am, as not many food establishments are open during that time. The pool was also really nice, and there are two jacuzzis. I just wish they would stay open at least until 10pm. I thought 9pm was rather early. Overall wonderful hotel!

Everything was clean and comfortable. And I didn’t like that you couldn’t bring your own snack to the pool.

Secure parking and everything is walking distance.

My first time at this hotel; I was impressed with how clean and accommodating the room was; queen beds, crispy white linens, awesome pillows, three king size fluffy pillows on each bed! I was happy about that. One but was the actual bed which was extremely firm For my taste and was cause for body aches, unfortunately. A Plus for me is that my car was in a secured and safe parking lot with very nice employees doing their jobs well. Polite and efficient. The ladies cleaning up the room were all very nice, asking me if there was anything we needed. The staff helping bring my bags to the room was very nice and helpful. The hotel has quite a nice large swimming pool , as well as three spas and a small Bar next to their restaurant . It was quite busy , with families enjoying their amenities. They even had a movie night under the stars , with popcorn, hot dogs and sodas or mixed drinks. We ate at their restaurant twice but they need to work more on their flavors and the way they make their food. Wouldn’t have my meals there. Coffee and drinks are good and our server very nice as well. Their prices are fair. If they had more comfortable beds they would get a 10 from us!

Always a good time

I enjoyed my stay at Ensenada's San Nicolas Hotel and Casino. The hotel is like a resort with rooms surrounding a beautiful patio and pool area. The room I had was small, but very clean and efficient. The brick wall was brushed over with white paint, the sliding doors leading to the patio operated like they were new as were the beautiful window coverings. Bed and bathroom linens were fresh and crisp, bed was comfortable, and a closet and additional storage areas were plentiful. Front desk staff was friendly and bilingual in English and Spanish. The hotel's location was removed enough from the "Centro" part of touristy downtown, yet easily accessible on foot. The restaurant served delicious food, especially pastries. I only had one small problem with this hotel, yet it was semi-understandable. From early morning until late evening, the sounds of predatory birds are played throughout the property to keep scavenger birds from landing and attacking food. Like I said, I understand the purpose but maybe the sounds could start later when the pool actually opens and end earlier than they do now.
