Ocean Gardens

Vue imprenable sur la mer et Funchal ; service impeccable. Un seul bémol : le bruit de la route toute proche (les fenetres n'isolent que partiellement du bruit extérieure).

We enjoyed staying here very much. The hotel has a gorgeous view over the ocean and Funchal. There is an amazing terrace with garden and pool which was fantastic. The staff was super friendly. The restaurant food options are limited for vegetarians but the salads, fish and pasta were great. Only downside was that there is no gym, toiletry products are limited (shampoo and shower gel in one; no conditioner) and the hotel is located on a little street so you can hear an occasional car or bike driving past. We had their newly renovated rooms which were very comfortable. Super comfortable bed. All over wonderful stay!

Very comfortable hotel with beautiful view. The hotel has a rooftop pool and bar with breathtaking scenery. We stayed for 7 days and will return. It was very convenient - you can either take the hotel’s free shuttle bus to Town centre and back, or take any other buses right in front of the hotel. Food was good- hot and continental breakfast with eggs, bacon, sausages and mushroom, ham, salads, cakes, juices variety of choices. Only problem for me was that the coffee was not so good - not hot enough. The restaurant next to the hotel serves local cuisine which was very good and inexpensive. We had dinner several nights there, enjoyed the food and the service. Bed was comfortable, shower was good. Room was very clean and strong WiFi most of the time. Overall it’s an excellent hotel.

Good value for money. About 10 minutes drive from Funchal, they also offer a free shuttle. Breakfast had a excellent variety. Bed was two wins pushed together which was the only let down as you had to sleep on separate sides.

Nice location, wonderful sea view. Busy road directly below balconies can be irritating. Spacious, comfortable suite - could benefit from some refurbishment. Very nice pool deck, but seems to be incomplete.Still co

Great hotel, only downside is nothing else close by

Stayed for 10 nights and had a lovely time. Rooms are comfortable and the view from the balcony is outstanding. Only ate at the restaurant a couple of times but it was of a very good standard. Buffet breakfast was really nice, fresh fruit, cooked options and various breads etc lots to choose from. Only slight reservation was that it was not really possible to walk safely on the roads near the hotel but the is local bus service just outside which runs at least hourly. We had a slight hiccup when we arrived as we were allocated a rood near where there is currently a lot of building work on the third floor and an extension being built next door which was very noisy. We asked to move to the other side of the hotel and reception staff were really helpful and accommodating. Excellent choice for us

Fantastic hotel. Good bus service outside and the staff were amazing. Definitely would stay there again. Local people friendly and helpful.
