Staff could of been more friendlier and helpful

It was our first visit to Sardinia and it blew us away. Beautiful, lush and green, gorgeous beaches. Club Hotel Baja Sardinia is a very nice hotel whose staff were exceptional. It sits to one side of the gorgeous beach with lots of bar/restaurants and shops right on its door step. From the outside it’s very pretty with Bougainvillea tumbling down. The reception area is bright and clean with comfortable seating and tables and the veranda has beautiful views out over the bay. Our room was clean with a nice, well equipped bathroom. Air con was good if a little old and noisy. Wi-fi was good in the room. There is a mini bar but quite expensive so check the price list. Breakfast and dinner are served on the terrace overlooking the bay, such a wonderful setting. The food was amazing every night and served from the menu. Breakfast is a buffet and we couldn’t fault it. The staff were so attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Well done Mr Allessandro to you and your staff. Now my only criticism is the private beach is a 4-5 minute walk around the headland via a very rough trail. Beautiful views of the sea as you walk but some people may find it quite difficult. I slipped on a couple of occasions. The beach area is very rocky. There are plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas but the life guards get very precious if you move them! There are a couple of places to get into the water but I’d advise you to wear beach shoes. There is a tiny beach but that too is a little rocky but not too bad. Swimming here was wonderful with crystal clear water and you feel very safe. It can be very windy by the way. Amazing snorkelling, so many fish. Also there is nowhere to get refreshments apart from going back to the hotel bar or shops. I thought that was a shame. The main beach is lovely but beware of the sunbeds as you pay around €40 (depending which row you sit) for 2 beds and an umbrella! Overall we had a wonderful holiday and will be back soon…

Beautiful location, friendly staff, while no pool there is a beautiful private beach with sun loungers and a step down into swim in the sea. Breakfast buffet had a wide selection, including Spumante to have with your brunch all included and the views were also top notch looking over the bay. The rooms are a little more traditional Italian but very clean and fresh and our balcony which was not a sea view still had a view to the beach. Baja Sardinia itself is a perfect location, with about seven restaurants along the little promenade next to the hotel. The views out across the bay are wonderful and you get to see beautiful sunsets across the archipelago- really stunning! The staff were all amazing and great cocktails in the bar with Lounge singers.

More traditional decor of the hotel could do with an update but on reflection it makes it a point of difference from all the identikit hotels out there

As a travel advisor, I would absolutely send all of my clients to this hotel. From the moment we arrived (after 11pm) until we left 6 days later at 5:00am in the morning, the hotel staff were phenomenal. The breakfast was incredible, there were so many fresh options and staff were attentive to any needs. They always greeted you with a smile and made sure to check that you were satisfied. The entertainment in the evening was outstanding. The singers were so talented and engaged with those that were in the audience. The drinks were made perfectly and not watered down. The private beach is about a 2 minute walk, it is not on the main beach, however, it is secluded, quiet and peaceful with chairs and umbrellas. We had such a lovely time and would definitely come back!
