La Jacia Hotel & Resort

The hotel was beautiful. Very clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We ate at the restaurant one evening and the food was very good. Our room was very spacious and we liked the modern design in the bathroom. Overall we really liked our stay. There was a supermarket about 5-10 minute walk from the hotel which was useful.

We didn’t have a car, so had to walk to the nearby town which took about 10-15 minutes and nearest beach only about 7-8 minutes. This isn’t a big deal, but the hotel is set back from the main road and the lane/car park we had to walk through was a bit quiet in the evenings which we didn’t enjoy. If we had a car or taxi this would have been no issue.

We had a great time and will definitely consider coming back on a next Sardinia trip. We stayed a few nights at La Jacia as part of a roadtrip on Sardinia and had a Superior Double Room (1st floor, balcony). Some of our personal favourites: - the pillows (heavenly sleep) - the atmosphere (walking on site between the plants and flowers on the neatly arranged stone paths felt very cosy) - the balcony (doing early morning yoga there, facing palm trees and pink flowers was a delight) - the decor of OUR room - you can see other roomtypes on the website, we checked before (minimalistic modern/boho style bathroom, practical clothes section, spacious room, big bed) - the staff (very friendly breakfast/bar staff, the hosts engaged in lovely, personal conversations and arranged a late check-in for us, they seem to be happy to make their guests feel comfortable)

We had a really pleasant stay :) Some thoughts about some people's reviews, though: A) How can people complain about the strong wind on a certain day as well as the condition of the roads in the surroundings?! B) If you don't like that there's a waterpark next door that occasionally plays music, then do your homework and inform yourselves before the stay or book an adults only resort. C) I, personally, have never stayed in a hotel before that has varying (I mean changing) breakfast options on different days, not even in high-end hotels. This breakfast had everything you needed, I don't see why it (or any other breakfast) needs to be different the next day. D) Prices are high in Sardinia, I understand why some people expect extraordinary services/conditions when they pay a loooot of money in July/August etc. However, it's by the famously known (and famously expensive) Costa Smeralda, you'll pay a lot anywhere. If you want to have a better value-for-money ratio, perhaps consider April-May or Sept-Oct with cheaper rates anywhere on the island.

The room was immaculate with a lovely comfy bed and nicely presented. The view from our balcony was so pretty. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. The grounds were really pretty and calming.

The aqua park next door gives off a little bit of noise which can interfere with the tranquility

The hotel is absolutely gorgeous with each room looking like its own little villa, surrounded by flowers. The staff were exceptional and very accommodating.

Towels were changing every 2 days. It could be everyday

The exterior of the hotel looks really nice. Flowers were everywhere and the place gives off tropical vibes. Staff during breakfast buffet were very nice, very attentive during meals whenever wasps are flying around.

We arrived in the hotel before 9 AM early as indicated check in time because the flights available from Florence was only 6 AM. I did inform of expected arrival days prior and we are happy to wait. Upon checking in, I did ask if they have free rooms I am happy to pay just so we could rest as my husband has not been feeling well since the night before, shows my desperation. They were fully booked so we waited around. Came back around 1330 to reception, still not available. Then again at 1530-- still not ready. They checked us in exactly 1555. At that time, we were already annoyed and fatigued from being awake for 30 hours. I understand that check in starts at 1600 but knowing we were there since 8:30 AM and I told them we are tired and my husband is not feeling better, I was hoping they could have helped us a bit by having the first ready room offered to us rather than let us wait 7 hours for a specific room. Not the most romantic and relaxing way to start our honeymoon. The room fell a bit flat for us as well. No complimentary coffee/tea amenities inside. Room was situated beside an aquapark where there was loud music and shouting during the day.
