Hotel Igea

Wir waren bereits das zweite Mal im Hotel Igea. Das Zimmer war recht groß und mit Klimaanlage, auch das Bad war absolut ausreichen groß u.a. mit Badewanne/Dusche und Bidet. Das Frühstücksbuffet war reichhaltig, mit Toast- und Vollkornbrot, Wurst, Schinken, Käse, Croissants, Kuchen (recht süß), Cornflakes, Joghurt, Milch, Säfte, Obst. Die Eier kann man in einem Kocher nach eigenem Wunsch (Dauer) kochen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Es gibt einen Parkplatz vor dem Hotel und man kann an der Straße parken. Alles gebührenpflichtig (auch mit Easypark-App). Das Zentrum von Padua ist in ca. 15-20 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar.

The WiFi was unstable and slow. Could be improved. Further, the options for breakfast could be improved.

É un hotel pulito, in ottima posizione rispetto a quello che dovevo fare, la stanza singola era abbastanza spaziosa, il personale molto gentile e la colazione buona.

Andava tutto bene.

Great location, just minutes from Padova's historic centre. Room was large, spotlessly clean, and staff genuinely friendly and helpful.

Only downside: a noisy AC external unit nearby — hopefully a temporary issue.

24-hour front desk whose staff were very pleasant, even writing down bus directions for me and calling me a taxi when I needed to get to the train station. Location is great, on a quiet street with an easy walk to the city center. The room was very clean and everything in it was in great shape - sheets, towels, the wood floor, the mini fridge. The elevator was modern and functional. It all looked very well maintained. The breakfast area was spacious and had lots of options.

A few things I wish had been different: Part of the reason I had booked this hotel was because on their Booking page there is a paid laundry service listed, and given that this was my last stop on a two-week trip with only a backpack I was looking for a laundry option. However, when I inquired about it just before my arrival I was told that there's no in-house laundry service and recommended to visit a laundromat nearby. Thankfully I'd been able to do laundry at my previous stop which got me through my days in Padova, but having the option to do laundry at the hotel would've been really nice. The wifi in my room didn't work at all for most of my stay, it only worked when I went down to the lobby. When it wasn't working I couldn't even see the name of the network so couldn't try logging in. It was difficult to use my phone even just to search for restaurants or buy a ticket for something while having to rely on my data roaming. I did let the front desk know and they said they'd check but to their knowledge the wifi was working fine. Maybe it was just because my room was on the top floor of the place, I'm not sure. Lastly, I was told when I checked in that each day the room would be cleaned after I'd turned my key in to the front desk and gone out. I believed that this meant that the room would not be entered unless I had turned in the key, so one morning I decided to sleep late and eat some food I had in the room. While I was still in there watching tv, housekeeping staff knocked and came in before I could say anything. They left as soon as they heard me moving to get up but, while I understand that they were only trying to do their job, I wish it had been communicated to me that if I was not out of the room by a certain time they may just come in.

La Ubicación, el trato del personal, desayunos y limpieza. Lo recomiendo.
